I know there have been a few posts (and a lot of reviews) singing the praises of glass toys, so I was thinking of getting one for the OH for her birthday. The thing is she doesn't normally like dildos or insertable vibrators, they just don't do anything for her... so is the glass variety really that good, and are they good enough to convince a dildo skeptic?
If so, any tips on which one to go for bearing in mind previous aversion to dildos?

Actually, I've just realised that was partialy wrong, my OH loves the small TC G-spot vibe, so she doesn't dislike inserted toys, she just *claims* not to like them:-)

Not entirely sure if I can help you since I do like insertables but glass just glides in and is great for temperature play.
Occasionally, I accidently hit my insides with the lip of the head; it's not uncomfortable but you have to know how to angle it, however this is possibly just the one I have.
Using lube just makes it even 'glidier' too and it's great at catching your g-spot if you know where you're going.
Overall, I love my glass dildo; they're relatively inexpensive and do feel good. It's an all round different feel!
Might be that she doesn't like large insertable, or even regular-penis-sized, so maybe something short and slim might be more up her alley (so to speak)?

My personal preference with insertable toys is to go for something narrow, because I can move it around more. A large thick imitation penis just doesn't interest me at all. If I can't have the real thing, then I want my dildo to make up for it by giving me something the real thing can't - shapes, textures, vibrations, etc.

Hello Spanky, I think this is a really good suggestion; this dildo would also be good for gently carressing the lips, clitoris and anal areas, either with the tip or the ridges, with or without the vibes. Such a versetile toy, you might enjoy having her use it on yourself!

I think I'll talk it over with her, obviously it'll spoil the surpise, but better that than wasting £30 on something she doesn't like.

Although the description says 4.4 inches circumference, it has a realistically shaped head and that is the widest circumference, it then tapers down to waves. The feeling of the wavey part is superb
Well, I mentioned this gift idea to the OH and she is actually interested, but not overly wild about it... so in other words she wouldn't say no but she'd rather I bought her a food mixer for her b'day (!)
