Hi. Where to start… 2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer (most deadly type). I did all the things - chemo, radiation, and had a bilateral mastectomy. I chose, for many reasons, not to do reconstruction. I do not wear foobs either. I am flat as a 10 year old boy (and no nipples). Naturally, finding lingerie that fits and looks appropriate is a challenge. I was also headed into menopause prior to cancer but chemo helped me complete that journey. With all that, and just life, I found myself not at all interested in sex. My husband and I had been intimate maybe 3 times the year before my diagnosis. While I was just sitting at home for 6 months trying to get through chemo I decided my husband deserved better. We have been married over 30 years and he has supported me through every crazy thing that I have come up with. I told him one day after radiation (and after he tried to initiate sex and I was too tired), that once treatment was complete, I was going to make our sex life a priority. And I did. I went to counseling, I saw a hormone specialist, and I started shopping for ways to spice things up. I ran across the Lovehoney youtube site and it was marvelous. I learned so much and took that info and started ordering a few things to get us started. We had a few toys over the course of our marriage but nothing like the armada we are now amassing. My husband has been very surprised (though pleasantly) and has been 100% on board with everything I’ve introduced so far. We are now active most everyday and sometimes multiple times per day. Oh, and the cancer is gone. I still have many scars from it, but it was a turning point for the better where intimacy was concerned. I am also an advocate for the “flat movement” which is the growing number of women who have chosen no reconstruction after mastectomy. We have no use for nipple clamps but bring on the rest of it.

I got to the place where I could take charge of my sex life with my husband of 28 years a few months ago after dealing with mental health problems and I’m not looking back and sounds like you are not either
