So I bought two really inexpensive garters that had the type of connectors where you push a circle through a slotted ring on the other side through the top of the stocking and they were no end in frustration. Either I couldn’t latch them or they only held for a few minutes. I have since changed to the metal alligator type clips which work great for me but limit choices. Is it that they were too cheaply made or is there a trick to doing up the circle and ring type fasteners? Yes, watched the LH vids but what is shown is way easier than what I experienced. Don’t mind the metal alligator type clips given they are super easy and secure but it certainly limits choices. Not for all day wear, just a little fun play.

I have fibro and I can’t do these garter fasteners without causing a major flare up in my hands, they’re a nightmare!
Personally I’ve chosen to either ignore LH lingerie with those garter clips, or if I really like the piece, I try and swap them out to the alligator clips, which are so much more accessible for everyone (they just pop open and closed). If you’re crafty enough, you could buy alligator garter clips and change them over to expand your choices?
(I’ve popped my concerns about these garter fasteners in the product suggestions thread a while back, but yet to see if LH will make the change)

I have been able to get the button style fastened on the front , but have had zero luck on the back . I am old and not too flexible . @Oldman. Great suggestion and I see that black is also available. How have the nylon stockings held up? I started with them but found I would get pulls or runs in short order and have since changed to a tight fishnet instead. Admittedly, they were cheap nylons, but I find even the cheap fishnets last longer.

I bought a bunch of the white lace nylons on sale for cheap . The oldest pair got the first run in them . Without using a garter belt is my preferred way to wear them . The fishnet do not seem to stay up as well on their own . I have not posted any photos of my red or black fishnet . Maybe if the mood strikes me I will do a photo shoot in the near future .

I had never really noticed that issue until I took a selfie one day and saw how far off each leg was. Looked like I was wearing two different sizes. LOL
The funny thing is when setting up for a photo , I take special care to make sure the stockings are even and the scallops at the top are in place . Then while moving around positioning the camera and myself , they always seem to move to an uneven position . Be nice to have an in house pornographer , er , photographer . Depending on how hot the assistant was , they would also have a tendency to make my grower into more of a shower . That might make it harder to keep my cock tucked into tiny panties though .

I had a thought when I woke up today , was feeling extra horny and wanted to start my day with see through micro g string and white stockings . Without a garter they tend to slip down through movement . I had removed the garter straps from my maid outfit and had the idea to use them on my stockings and attach them to the strings . It worked a treat ! Though the straps are black and stockings and mesh thong are both white . Not a bad look , but the black makes me look less innocent .

We have found, through much experience, that the only secure way to attach suspenders (garters) to stockings is through the use of metal (steel) clips/ clasps and rubber buttons.
Unlike the cheaper, flimsy, plastic types found on some suspender (garter) belts and lingerie items, the metal clips are not prone to flexing and bending thereby affording the wearer a more secure attachment to the stockings’ welts. The cheaper, plastic types often result in the disappointing detachment of stocking welt and clasp.
As far as preventing stockings’ movement whilst they are attached to a suspender, we would recommend lingerie fitted with 6-straps (1”/30mm wide) as a minimum. Lingerie with 8 (or more) straps provides even greater results in preventing the stockings from twisting. Multi strap belts are especially beneficial if wearing fully fashioned stockings with a finishing-loop, or “key-hole” in the rear of the welt, or for help in ensuring the seams remain straight.
