Household wastage

I had to google ‘garbologist’!
What is the most interesting fact you have found?

good question the main would be  that the human races as a whole can be lazy
And i’m still amazed about the amount of stuff that is thrown away just because it’s not the latest model ect

@steelback do you think lockdown has changed things? People in our street WhatsApp group seem to be swapping things with each other more than usual.
Our household throws out more than we recycle, but I don’t think the local council make it easy for families with additional needs.

Sorry - going off topic.

I can only comment for my “patch” on this the amount of overall waste as has gone up due to the “WFH” aspect of it but when it’s been broken down is to the correct streams the recycling, bring banks and garden/food waste are all up and the residual waste is down.
But the flytipping has increased as people can move around more , even with the swap type groups going on, most local council do have policy’s in place for large family’s and thous who find it difficult to recycle it just thats some digging
