iPhone/iPod app?

Are there many people who would download and use this? it would be nice to be able to either shop or to just browse and add things to wishlist whilst on the go. think of the fun you could have while travelling and picking out your new toys for later on in the week =) and i only see my OH every other week so travelling down i could still pick out toys for her =)

would be nice to know if LoveHoney has anything in the works for an App or something similar? thank you =) x

lovehoney do have a mobile website. m.lovehoney.co.uk which can be used on most mobile devices.

also can't you acces full websites on the iphone? i think several people on the forums use their apple products to post messages

I use my iPod touch as I am now

Hi Fighter The Foo, we do have a mobile site that you can browse and shop from - here's the LoveHoney mobile site.

Unfortunately an app isn't currently on the cards as Apple and the iTunes store don't like adult content.

ah that sucks =S well hopefully when the boys and girls at Apple decide to grow up then maybe they will.

they do have things like gambling Apps such as Racing Post and PaddyPower, they surely could as adult content? definately the latter x

Apple have always been very good at tying their devices to their own software since they started. Even now you can't make an iphone app without sending to apple for testing / certification so it can be installed on devices. Don't even get me started about the whole itunes thing!

Because of this, games like Angry Birds are paid on iphone, but free on android...

Maybe LH will write an Android app instead of iphone! But to be fair, the site runs fine on my HTC.

I've tried on my 4th gen iPod touch but it's a real bitch signing in and using the forum - I've gotten onto the forum signed in once, the other times i jut couldn't do it. I don't know if it's just me!

It's an absolute pig to sign in on iPhone. I have never found a consistant way to do this. If I try to login to the full site it usually diverts me to signing in on the mobile site. So I do and then click on the view full website box. For some strange reason this then logs me out. So I repeat the same process and this time it'll work. Trying to login from the bottom of a forum page is a non starter really.

Could this be fixed please?

Apple and sex etc right now are a big no no. If it's a philosophy then it might change if Steve Jobs steps down but I doubt that it'd change even then. I think an app would be nifty but in all honesty I wouldn't install it. My wife uses it , my kids play on it a fair bit and often you show people photos on it or let them mess about cos they are curious what apps you have etc. It could be a huge source of embarrassment and for some people andI imagine would lead to disiplinary action if caught using it at work and not the kind some us like ha ha !

As it is I use a private browser app which deletes all my info and browsing history and when you press the home button reverts to google on reopening for those close shaves!

Knobs, knobs, knobs - I bloody hate Apple and I bloody hate Jobs! Do my head in!

It was only this time last year that I finally caved and got an ipod - but only for podcasts (really easy through itunes and I'm lazy with technology - I'd never listen to 'em if it were a pain to do) my music is all on a Sansa and everything else technological is as far as I can get from bloody Apple.

I'd love to agree, but every time I lose my iPod I look around the market and keep coming back to Apple. And I'm 99% sure I'll get the new iPhone when it comes out too. Macs however I really dislike, but again I'l have to work with them for film projects. Bleurgh.

I like your little rhyme there, anyway!

my OH loves that i buy her toys for her/us so dont have that problem, and being the age i am i have no worries with kids either =P plus u could always put a lock on the phone or certain folders to stop kids, and as for using at work? spose u just gotta be sneaky =)

Not an ipod question but. . . .I've just got a HTC Desire hd and I'm with Virgin and can browse, buy, check bank accounts, download porn, watch anything but can I hell post on these forums! I can sign in easy enough but when I press on the box to make a comment it just turns green and I can't add a comment. I could post on my old phone a Nokia Express Music which was again with Virgin.

Any ideas/ I've looked at the settings and nothing jumps out at me to change. I think it uses Froyo 2.2?

Thanks

SG

hmm its a bit weird since i can post on the forums using the DSi browser. (full website version)

it was just a thought as the browser is opera mini which does most the mobile web browsing.

Completely unintentional rhyming ha! In fact I only noticed it when you pointed it out!

My little Sansa is outstanding for music - had it nearing on 5 years now and the battery life is still incredible. It's sturdier than any of the ipods, less fragile, easy to use, great sound quality and has a mini SD slot.

My dad had a Zen Creative when it was the best mp3 player on the market (topping all ipods).

I just don't get the brand loyalty people have to Apple, they're unreliable, controlling and petty. Refusing to allow and apps related to sex, winds me up - bloody control freaks.

Adx

I'd say a good chunk of my loyalty is because I bought an iPod originally and have since bought loads of songs on iTunes, making me a victim to DRM. I do like the apps on my Touch though, and for luxury things like this I tend to go for the expensive high-end stuff. I put a lot of faith in certain brands.

Hi SG, are you using Opera Mini by choice, as thats not the browser that comes preinstalled on android 2.2? I've started using Dolphin browser on my HTC, and it seems very good. I've not actually tried to post on LH with it though, so I don't know for sure if it will work.

Another thing you can try, is in the browser settings you can tell it to be a "mobile" browser or a "desktop" browser. This means that when it communicates with a web server, it sends information to tell it to either send back the cut-down mobile version (if available) or the full one.

Hope this helps.

Pffttt Apple can suck my balls! Howsat for adult Jobby boy!

Anyway... What about an Android app as mentioned? It's the future.
