Penis Plug 8mm Double Ended Stainless Steel Ribbed Urethral Dilator

Ribbed for ur(ethral) pleasure!

Surprisingly great even for sounding beginners! The ribbed design may seem intimidating if you’re new to sounding, but this was my first sound and as long as you take it slow with plenty of surgical/sterile lube it’s doable. Also, you can even use the smoother end to start if you wanted to.

The stimulation is amazing once you get started and definitely unique! This sound has certainly turned me on to the world of sounding!

The diameter of 8mm is good even for beginners as 6-8mm is usually considered a good starting point, depending on your body. Especially for metal sounds, it’s usually safest to start with the largest diameter you can comfortably take (slowly and with plenty of lube of course!).

The weighty stainless steel helps with gentle insertion as you can let gravity help the sound move down, which is usually the safest method to start (keeping a grip on the top end to control speed of insertion).

The ribbed design provides extra stimulation without being too aggressive. The only potential drawback of the design for beginners is the lack of a stop or flared portion on the sound to prevent the sound completely inserting. However, this also allows either side of the sound to be used! Just keep that in mind and you can still use the sound perfectly safely.

Icicles No 5 Sapphire Spiral Glass Dildo 7 Inch

Beautiful glass dildo

First off, this is a beautifully crafted glass dildo, could almost use it as a display piece if you aren't shy about the phallic shape of it! The glass was smooth with no defects, and perfect for temperature play either heating it up or cooling it down.

I tended to jump right in without doing much temperature play with it! While the dimensions may not seem that thick, since it is rigid glass it definitely feels a bit thicker (not a bad thing by any means!). The slight curve, bulbous end, and rigid glass provided great pressure at the P-spot for myself (or G-spot for my partner) resulting in intense stimulation.

I would have preferred a slightly larger base, as the base is kinda small and doesn’t provide much stability to stand upright. Since glass can be kinda fragile anyway, best to use it by hand or ride on a soft surface (like a bed) anyway.

Lovehoney Perfect Pair Silicone Nipple Suckers

Intro to Nipple Toys and Sensitization!

These nipple suckers are a good, basic toy for introduction to nipple toys and nipple sensitization! Straightforward to use - press the bulb, place on nipples, and release the bulb to suction them on. The bulb can be pressed more or less to adjust the suction strength a bit. A little lube around the rim also helps the nipple suckers to stay on and get a good suction if having trouble.

After using the suckers, your nipples should be perked up and sensitized for further play! That is the main use we found, the suckers themselves did not provide us much stimulation after the initial suction.

Overall these are great to try out some more nipple play at a great price! If you find yourself wanting more stimulation from the toy itself, you can look at the more advanced nipple toys like nipple vibrators or ticklers!

Lovehoney Position of the Week Snap

Fun position cards

This is a nicely made deck of cards with various sex positions on them, with a few duplicates for each position for the matching game. Can be a nice raunchy game with your partner that can help get you in the mood or introduce some new positions into your lovemaking!

The matching game aspect is pretty basic but can be fun for a little bit. We ended up using the cards more for drawing one or a few random positions to try out or incorporate into that night’s lovemaking session. However, because there are duplicates of each position for the matching game aspect, it limits the total number of positions in the deck if you use it for a homemade type of game like we did. (We are planning to add some of the positions from Lovehoney’s website to the duplicate cards, to modify the deck for our purposes)

The positions on the cards are nicely illustrated. A short description or tips included for each position on the cards would be great, but there is only so much space on the cards. Position illustrations and descriptions are on Lovehoney’s website though, in case you do need more explanation for any!

Overall a fun game to spice things up a bit with your partner! A nice introduction to these types of games which you can always get a more expansive kind if you find yourselves into it.

Premium Power with Ergonomic Design

I have been looking for a long time for a new rechargeable wand as a follow up to the Mantric. The Mantric is, vibration wise, wonderful and unbeaten in anything else I’ve tried, but controls wise, isn’t the best.

My list essentials were serious power, waterproof and good controls and the We-vibe Wand 2 ticks those boxes.

The packaging is standard We-vibe, a high end box with a sturdy shaped insert to hold the wand and a small compartment for the quick start guide (which tells you everything you need to know) and the charging cable. A nice feature this wand has that previous We-vibe products I own didn’t is a clearly labled charge cable so no more getting cables confused. I really appreciate that. The magnet is also very strong compared to most rechargeable toys I’ve had and charging is easy, this charger is not going to get accidentally knocked and disconnect from the wand. Slowly pulsing light while charging, constantly lit once fully charged and the battery has lasted us plenty of sessions between charges.

The smart silence feature I turned off straight away. With suction toys this is useful as they are loud when not sealed in place, but with a wand, I don’t really see the point. It is not much louder held separately than in vulva contact and who’s going to leave it turned on, on a hard surface, where it would rattle? I also have the advantage of not needing to be quiet at home, so maybe, that is a factor but the feature seems pointless on a wand and I found it irritating. It is easy to disable though and stays switched off between uses.

The wand is incredibly easy to link to the app, select it from the toy list and follow very easy, quick instructions. The bluetooth link hasn’t dropped in the tests we’ve run including from a couple of rooms away. To be honest, in most sessions so far, I’ve used the wand solo, on which occasions I’ve not really bothered with the app as the buttons work very well. Separate buttons for increasing and decreasing the intensity and subtler buttons to the sides for changing the pattern. Full marks there. Seems redundant to be fiddling with my phone, as well, when there’s no real need. The app is easy to use though, with a very user friendly interface.

Where the app will come into it’s own, but which, to my disgust, we haven’t had a chance to try yet, is with forced orgasms. Restrained, with wand secured in place, your partner not even close but able to control every movement of the wand with a light tap or stoke of their finger. Titillating indeed. I’m looking forward to this experience and if it’s something you’re into then this wand is a perfect candidate.

Onto feel, and this rechargeable wand is powerful, very, very powerful. We have the mains powered Doxy Die Cast and honestly this feels pretty comparable in terms of power but, and it is a but, the higher intensities do have a tendency to numb my clit after a while. They’re not buzzy at all which is the normal numbing problem but there’s something. I actually prefer the lower intensities and get better results from them, which is unusual for me, as with suction toys, and the like, I’m a full on power queen. There is no doubt this wand can induce orgasms and it’s easy for both my OH and I to use on me but too much, too fast has the opposite effect as I don’t like a numbed clit!

Shape wise, this wand is perfect as the handle and edge of the head are just right for holding and grinding. Good solo, even better when taken from behind over the arm of the couch with the wand to grind against. My only concern is that the wand is quite heavy, not compared to a mains powered, but next to other rechargeables, so maybe, not ideal for weaker arms and wrists.

Cleaning this wand is a breeze, it’s waterproof and has no tricky surfaces. Blitz of toy cleaner, rinse under a tap and leave to dry. Simples.

Finally, and I think it does need stating, a wand is not only a clit/vulva toy. Penises, perineums and balls love them too so they’re the perfect couples toy and this one is particularly good.

Bondage Boutique Plush Sex Position Restraint with Cuffs

Get comfortably restrained!

This bondage set is a comfortable way to get restrained and welcoming to bondage beginners. The ankle restraints are attached with long adjustable straps to the neck pillow, and there are metal rings on the side of the neck pillow for attaching the wrist restraints. We liked that the wrist restraints are removeable from the neck pillow, so you can use it with or without them. The lining inside the restraints is very soft and comfortable. The neck pillow is plush but on the firmer side for pillows, which makes sense for this use. This bondage kit can be used with any bed or pretty much anywhere since it is self-contained, does not need to be tied to anything specific like bed posts or doors which is very convenient for use!

To get into position with her laying on her back I placed the pillow part under her neck, strapped her ankles into the restraints, and tightened the straps to the desired length to lift her legs up and spread them apart (now she’s open and ready for easy access to hit the G-spot!). It helped to have her hands free for tightening the straps. Then attached the wrist restraints to the pillow and strapped her hands in, ready to get down to business!

The wrist restraints and straps definitely helped support her legs, allowing us to stay in that position longer than otherwise once her legs get tired. It helped free up my hands by not having to hold up her legs (and her hands, if not using the wrist restraints) for focusing on stimulating other areas. I also took some turns being bonded for pegging! We found using an extra pillow/cushion underneath me helped to get a better angle.

The leg straps don’t make your legs completely weightless, although they help a lot, you still need to use your leg muscles a little bit to hold your legs up. The neck pillow will put extra strain on the back of your neck if you try letting your legs fall completely. We also used it in the other pictured position in the product images, with the bonded person on their stomach and neck pillow in front of the throat. This is great for some choking play and you can control how much choking sensation by how much you let your legs relax behind you! However, the pressure is on the front of the throat instead of the sides so be careful not to use too much pressure.

The leg straps are attached at the pillow seam, so this is a potential concern for us how well that will hold up. The buckle for the strap on the ankle restraints is faced inward so you will feel it a bit on your skin. We don’t see any concerns with the wrist restraint or attachment to the pillow. The soft velvety material can be a bit difficult to deeply clean if it gets dirty.

This kit is welcoming to bondage beginners since it does still allow for some movement, you aren’t tightly held in a single position. The legs are free to move around a bit between straight up and bent knees, closer together or wider apart in case you do start to get uncomfortable in a certain position. The wrist restraints give the sensation of hands being held down by your partner near your head, but you could also move your hands and even take the restraints off of yourself if you get uncomfortable or needed to! Perfect for anyone looking to explore some light, comfortable bondage or the more experienced wanting a flexible positioning aid.

Lovehoney Satin Silhouette Black Corset

Of Corset is Stunning.

My corset dreams really do come true.

Firstly, I received this corset in size Medium, with my sizings being size 10/36C on top. I’m not sure what the “done” way of putting a corset that has hook & eye fastenings at the front, and is lace-up to the back, but I undid the strip of fastenings, wrapped the corset around me and did them back up. This was a bit of a lengthy process, so loosening the back, stepping in and securing it again is somewhat of a quicker, less fiddly option (providing you have another pair of hands or some decent handiwork going on yourself…).

Once on and secured, the corset sits very comfortably, very snugly, and looks absolutely incredible. I adjusted my boobs so they spilled over the top a little and secured the shoulder straps into bows. Words don’t do this corset any justice, I just love it. The boning adds shaping while also being visually appealing, the fastenings give a pop of colour, and the bows provide an element of fun to an otherwise classic and glamorous piece.

This corset is made to a very high standard, and this is evident from the strength and quality of the materials used. I have no concerns about any wear and tear happening for a long time.

I appreciate the shoulder straps being detachable! As much as I enjoy the bows, it is nice to wear the corset without them sometimes. I’d also like this feature with the suspender straps as I don’t always want to wear stockings with the corset (as much as they really suit it!). I can imagine the piece going really well with a simple pair of jeans for an out-of-the-bedroom occasion, however the straps would not sit comfortably hidden within jeans somewhere. Skirts and dresses, however, it’d still pair with wonderfully, with just a little more comfort.

Overall, and if I haven’t stressed it enough, I love this corset! It’s comfortable, it cinches me in at the waist and boosts my bust, it’s made to a very high standard, and it looks jaw-droppingly stunning.

At 5ft6, size 10 on top, 12 bottoms and 36C, I got this body in One Size. The sizing rings true, and with a good element of stretch, adjustable sliders to the waist and the shoulders, it caters to a range of sizes. When I first tried it on, I had to fiddle with the shoulder straps to tighten them up a fair bit to keep the fabric from being too lose over my boobs. At its tightest, it sits over them comfortably, however can’t help but think bigger boobies would suit this better!

The fabric is soft throughout the piece and sits nice and snug against the body. It provides coverage where it needs to and is cinched in at the waist by the waistband. The straps atop each boob are a delicate and beautiful addition, and the deep-cut open back offers a wonderful tease of skin.

The deep blue compliments my pale skin tone, and no doubt would compliment others too. The scalloped edging frames the bum cheeks, and I adore how it falls into the plunging neckline too.

The mixture of lace and mesh combined works really well, and the floral design is very pleasing to the eye from all angles.

The body is able to be dressed up; jeans, wet-look leggings or a skirt would suit perfectly, or alternatively, on its own with not much else but a heap load of lingerie-fuelled confidence!

100 Dates Scratch Bucket List Book

I was sent this book by Lovehoney in exchange for an honest review. As I type this, there are currently no reviews, and at £26.99, for a book, I’m not too surprised. It sure is the most expensive book I own!

However, initial thoughts aside, and having actually removed the protective film, the overall quality becomes evident. The book is housed within a hard-wearing protective slip that mimics the covers of the book itself which are simple and informative. Aesthetically, the book follows a traditional pink, red, purple “love” theme, and every other page is a love-related quote. It’s somewhat sickly, but incredibly sweet.

There are a couple of pages of “how to”s before you get straight into the book. The pages are self-explanatory, but instructions are always appreciated! Each page has the activity as a header, then space for you to document the date, location and favourite part, but you can also add photos/souvenirs and notes! I personally really like the space to add photos etc as they’re the perfect size for those instant camera photos.

The “scratch” aspect of the book comes into play with a photo of (spoiler…) each activity, then you can scratch hearts, out of 10, to rate how much you enjoyed the activity. I would really enjoy the book without the scratching, but it’s a nice novelty.

The activities are mostly easily achievable and not so far-fetched that they’ll be totally dismissed. There’s fun in putting the effort and planning into an activity, which is what some of them do require.

Although it’s designed for couples, many activities could be achieved solo, or even with friends.

The pages are relatively tough, so the scratching doesn’t damage them, and it’s a book that will likely, if completed, get a lot of use, so this is beneficial.

There’s a little bookmark which can come in handy, and a number of note pages at the back to make good use of.

Overall, I do really enjoy this book. Maybe not enough to spend £27, but it would make a great gift for a significant other.

Booty Call Medium Silicone Inflatable Butt Plug 6.5 Inch

Bombastic inflatable butt plug

This inflatable butt plug can in many ways fulfill a wide range of plug sizes with a single plug! Love that it’s silicone as well, instead of other materials.

The uninflated size for initial insertion should be approachable for most experience levels with a bit of lube, even if you’re relatively a beginner with just a bit of anal experience!

I found this plug great for training up a bit for larger sizes. While you can’t fully train for insertion of a dildo of equivalent girth as the inflated size you can handle with this plug (since it is a bit difficult to do removal/insertion a few times when inflated, like I would do with a regular plug to finish a warm up for that size of dildo), it definitely helps to train up in size a bit faster and without needing as many intermediate plug sizes.

I found the best way for me to train up in size with the inflatable plug was to insert the deflated plug, inflate it a bit to stretch me out inside, then slowly push it out. Repeating this and also inflating it to larger sizes during this process helped me train up in size a bit quicker! But always listen to your body and go at the speed that is comfortable. I have not yet conquered the fully inflated size!

This inflatable plug is also great if you are looking more for increased or intense pressure inside and on the prostate, without having to train up in size of initial insertion. The incremental adjustments in inflation helps to find the perfect amount of pressure, and certainly enhanced my penile orgasm with the added pressure on the prostate!

The suction cup was plenty strong, but I did not find myself using it much since I could not really ‘ride’ the plug. However, it may help some for training for larger sizes to have the inflated plug pulled out by moving away from the mounted plug, instead of pushing it out with your anal muscles.

The only drawback I faced with the plug was when deflating it from an inflated size, it may not deflate symmetrically around the ‘core’ and the core would start poking in the side of the outer plug material. To avoid this I needed to deflate slowly towards the end of deflation, making sure the plug stayed symmetrical around the core once fully deflating.

Great Intro Bondage Kit!

This bondage kit has all you need to get started on some light bondage/BDSM play! Blindfold, wrist and ankle restraints. Great for beginners or even those more experienced that need a bondage kit. Tie up your partner (or get tied up by them) and have your way with them (or they have their way with you)!

The wrist and ankle restraints are very soft and plushy, comfortable to wear and don’t dig into your skin at all. The velcro closure on the restraints are accommodating to different sizes of wrists and ankles and also allow you to choose how loose or tight you want the restraints! This was perfect for us as we wanted to still feel comfortable while starting to explore some bondage play. Also the bonds don’t feel too restrictive allowing the submissive to move around a bit still, which is great for beginners, compared to a more rigid or constrained bondage setup like metal or leather which may be too intense for beginners or light BDSM. The nylon straps tied to posts/poles can also kind of be loosened by the submissive if they pull hard enough, which helps with the comfort level for beginners – knowing you can probably escape/loosen up the ties if you were really feeling uncomfortable. However, this could also be a downside if you do want to be more rigidly tied up where it won’t loosen even with a lot of squirming around!

The eye mask has a soft cushy material and blocks out the light well, perfect for some sensory deprivation to focus on your body’s sensations or putting extra trust in your partner. However, we found the elastic strap on the eye mask a bit too tight for either of our heads and it was uncomfortable on the forehead after a while. It might be good for smaller heads but we opted not to use the eye mask any more. It was easy enough to replace with a looser eye mask or a blindfold like a tied-up tie that you can make as loose or tight as you want.

We found the nylon straps for tying the wrist and ankle restraints to posts or poles worked best for us on the slats of our platform bed frame. This allows you to adjust how high or low along the length of the bed you tie up your partner to, as my partner is relatively short so the very top or very bottom of the bed would be too far away. Very sexy seeing them tied up in spread eagle ready for pleasure! We have a queen size bed, I think smaller beds would work even better with this set, but larger like a king size bed would be too large for us to easily use these restraints. Would also work well for say a headboard that has metal bars along it, or tall enough bed posts at the head and foot of the bed. However, the nylon straps are flat and wide which makes it a bit tricky to initially tie the knot in.

The sky’s the limit with where you can use these, basically anywhere there is a pole, post, etc to tie around! Foot of the bed, railings, doors, and so on. We usually stick with the bed for comfort, but there are endless sexy possibilities!

Double Double Powerful Vibrating Silicone Nipple and Clit Teasers

This pair of titillating silicone ticklers is ready to stimulate your nipples (or clit)! The max vibration intensity was surprisingly strong for the size of the vibrating bullets/eggs that go in the silicone tickler sleeves. The tickler sleeves can be removed for easy cleaning or if you want to use just the bullets/eggs on their own. The controller has an adjustable vibration intensity ranging from low to high for the intensity you desire.

These only have a constant vibration, which we found loses some of its stimulation when just sitting there suctioned on the nipples. We would have preferred some different vibration modes such as a pulsing or irregular vibration pattern that would have been great when suctioned over the nipples! The constant vibration works fine for clit play though, as we move it around a bit with our hand that is holding it there when using the vibrating ticklers that way.

The suction cups are pretty wide which is something to keep in mind, if you have smaller perky breasts you may have trouble with the suction cups staying on. My wife has relatively large breasts so the suction cups worked fine for her size! A little bit of lube rubbed around the rim of the suction cups also helps them stay on. We found the vibrators stayed on best when laying on your back, otherwise gravity and the wire to the controller can pull on the vibrators causing them to shift and fall off. The suction cup size also works for me (a flat-chested guy), although I need to be shaved for the suction to be effective.

With the suction cups on, the vibrations are now teasing her nipples! The design and vibration of these nipple vibrators was not enough on its own for a nipple-gasm, but add some extra pleasure when coupled with other forms of stimulation such as clit and vaginal!

The ticklers inside the suction cups could be longer, to cater to a wider variety of users. They reached my wife’s nipples fine, but will not reach smaller nipples (like mine) as well, so the amount of stimulation I would get from them is limited. The design could be improved, but as-is works pretty well for my wife’s nipples (and clit)! Just keep these things in mind when deciding whether you think this nipple vibrator design will work for you.

Lifelike Lover Luxe Realistic Multicolored Silicone Dildo 7 Inch

Pretty Pink Penis

This review is so overdue. I’ve had this dildo for 3 years, and I still love it!! It’s the only silicone dildo I’ve owned and used (all my other dildos are glass and stainless steel), so I can’t compare it to other silicone dildos, but without comparing it, I just really like it. I like that it has a good bend but is still quite firm. The girth and length are perfect for me. The slightly curved up shape is fantastic. I love the feeling of the veins, and the ridge of the glans. Also visually, I like the fun bright pink coloring.

I rarely use the dildo suctioned to a surface because I prefer to just pump it with my hand rather than having to exert myself and tire out my legs. That being said, the suction cup is really good. It will firmly stick to any smooth surface, but the edge around the suction cup is soft, so I can just slide my nail under the edge when I want to pop it off. We haven’t used it with a harness, but it’s our go to dildo for simulating double penetration. It is super easy to clean after use and dries quickly. It doesn’t come with a storage bag/pouch, so if stored uncovered, the silicone surface attracts dust, hair, and lint, so definitely would recommend getting a storage pouch for it.

ROMP Free X Rechargeable Silicone Travel Clitoral Suction Stimulator

Small, discreet, AND mighty!

These words usually do not go together as most of the time small and discreet toys compromise on power, or powerful toys are not small and discreet! We were surprised the ROMP Free X is more powerful than a large non-discreet suction toy we have. The larger but less powerful suction toy was cheaper, so you do get what you pay for with the ROMP being a bit more expensive as a higher quality brand-name toy compared to some of the cheapest suction toys.

If you haven’t used suction toys before, the sensation is not exactly like someone sucking on the clit or nipple, but somewhere between actual sucking and a regular vibrating stimulation. The suction stimulation is definitely a unique sensation from a toy, we can’t recommend it enough if you haven’t tried it before! The Romp Free X would be a great starter suction toy (or, in our case, our second suction toy) as the many different intensity levels allow you to find the intensity that works best for you.

My wife first used this as intended - on her clit with a little bit of water-based lube to help it glide and provide better suction. She found the medium-high intensities to be ideal for her clit (levels ~5-8) to quickly reach a pure clitoral orgasm! The lower intensity levels were perfect for warming her up and teasing her before she was on her way to the main event. The highest intensities were a bit too much for her to handle, but that was not much of a problem for a toy to have intensities below and above your ideal level (rather than being limited to a maximum intensity that doesn’t do it for you). The + and – buttons are great for allowing you to change the intensity up and down, rather than having to cycle through all the intensities with a single button. This makes it even easier to find the perfect intensity for the moment.

As with many toys, clit stimulators can often be used as nipple stimulators and vice versa. This also makes a lovely nipple suction stimulator as both my wife and I can attest! Using it on my nipples, the lower intensity levels were great for an initial rumbly tease. Moving up the intensity levels I found the medium-high intensities to also be my sweet spot without being overpowered or left sore at the highest intensities! The nipple stimulation worked to turn me on in no time. Also, at any vibration intensity, moving the toy slightly such that the suction seal is broken can provide short breaks from intense stimulation (while still giving some titillating sensation instead of removing the stimulation completely).

The ROMP Free X definitely delivers on the discreet portion in its design and size, making it a perfect travel toy or even for staying over with family (or if you live with family/parents/roommates that you wouldn’t want to know what it is!). It would blend right in with makeup or toiletries, and even if someone examined further, it looks similar enough to innocent beauty products they would be none the wiser. However, on the few highest settings the noise is loud enough it could be heard through a door if the house is quiet. At the low to medium settings the only audible noise outside your bedroom will be your moans of pleasure! Unfortunately, there is no travel lock (even with the cap on, the toy will turn on) so when traveling you’ll want to pack it in a way the + button wouldn’t get pressed down for a few seconds, accidentally turning it on.

The box (and toy/charging cord) are pleasing shades of purple and yellow without being over-the-top. The box makes the toy even more giftable and includes a good amount of information. There is a detailed playbook included inside with instructions and extra ideas of different ways to play with the toy, and a bonus goodie included (fun and saucy stickers)! The ROMP Free X box is really the only way someone else would know what its for, otherwise the toy itself looks very discreet.

Lovehoney Realistic Silicone Suction Cup Dildo 8 Inch

Bigger than advertised (yay?)

Quick review after some conversation online just to drop my two cents (and some measurements).

First of all, this is a great dildo if you’re looking for a bit of a whopper. It’s firm enough for great penetration and thrusting but has good squish and softer feel. It’s a soft silicone and doesn’t eat up lube like some toys. It can get a little tacky if you go too long, but there’s not much drag to the silicone as is.

OKAY - so what the description has wrong: it’s just bigger. With a standard measuring tape from the sewing kit I got a 4. 25" girth around the narrowest tip of the head (but still full around) and 4. 75" around the shaft behind the head. It quickly moves to 5" and 5. 5" along the midshaft and the widest part of the shaft before the flared base it’s easily 6. 5" around. I would aggressively say that if you can take it you could technically insert a full 8+ inches and head to flared base is closer to 9.

I suspected it was larger than advertised when I bought it. Was looking to fill out a wide range of sizes to use with wife in DP and during oral. When she’s really warmed up she can really enjoy it, but it always leaves her sore after. I do like that it’s longer than we “need” so that if we’re doing DP I have something easier to hold on to and provide some movement.

Anyway: love this dildo, but Lovehoney should probably update the description to help folks out.

(3* on “Orgasm Rating” is cause wife doesn’t O from penetration alone, but in conjunction with other stimulation she rarely complains about what it contributes).

HighOnLove Sensual Rosemary & Lavender Bath Salts 500g

Bathtime Bliss

I have had bath crystals from Lovehoney once before, they were supposedly Jasmine and Bergamot Sented Healing Bath Crystals and they were terrible. They don’t appear to be stocked by Lovehoney anymore and this is a very good thing!

So how do these HighOnLife Bath Salts compare? Turns out, Sensationally!!!

As soon as you start to unwrap the cellophane outer you are hit with a rosemary and lavender fragrance. The salts come contained within a heavy, frosted glass jar embossed with the HighOnLife company logo and with a secure metal looking, but actually plastic, screw top presented in a beautiful box. Lovely packaging if you’re thinking of gifting these.

So how do they actually feel? Well, great, actually!

They disolve quickly and made my bath time feel like a proper spa experience, toxins drawn out and pores left feeling clear and glowing. A proper detox for the skin and a treat for the nose. I was left relaxed, happy and with reduced pain in back muscles that had been suffering all day.

It’s worth saying, make sure you have a drink with you, you wont want to get out of your bath, but I’d advise you to rehydrate during your soak. Though this is probably true of all long, hot baths.

The only negative for me was the rose buds in with the salt mix, maybe they add something subtle and lovely to the fragrance but the bits of rose floating around didn’t do anything to enhance my experience. This may be personal preference, but for me, they added nothing and created more of a clean up.

Second bath, a week or so later, and as soon as I opened the jar after I’d already filled the bath, I was hit by that lavender again. It was instantly relaxing after what had been a very physically taxing day at work, followed by an evening having a filling fitted at the dentist. A hard day! After my bath, I was relaxed, serene and slept better than I had in ages.

I think this jar (unlike the silly pack of rubbish I tried before) will last a long time as you really don’t need much to transform your bath into a spa experience and the jar will completely keep the humidity out. These are high quality salts. However, they are pricey for a jar of bath salts. So, will I buy this jar again once I eventually run out? Probably, yes… but I might wait for one of those excellent Lovehoney Sales before doing so. I did find out that HighOnLife do a refill pouch, which I hope Lovehoney will soon stock to save on wastage. Buying this jar here is, however, significantly cheaper than the £47 it currently retails for on the brands own site!

It is worth noting that the instructions say to add a scoop to warm bath water. This threw me as I couldn’t find a scoop anywhere! I added a “scattering”, as it turns out, a very scoop sized scattering, to my first bath and similar, maybe slightly more to my second. Upon my third bath, the scoop, which apparently had burrowed into the salts and rendered itself invisible, appeared. So it turns out there is a scoop but you might have to go digging or use my approach of using a “scattering” of salts until it appears.

In conclusion, these are great bath salts worth the premium price tag.

Cons: I’m not a fan of rose bits floating about in my bath water but that con doesn’t outweigh the pros.

HighOnLove Dark Chocolate Body Paint 100ml

No Go Coco (if you’re wanting top quality)

I can’t say I’ve owned many edible body paints, but this has got to be up there for one of the classiest, high-end-looking body paints I have seen.

From the box with the magnetic closure, bow and rose gold detailing, to the heavy geometric glass bottle, it screams high-end and top quality. The box is heavily detailed with instructions, general information and ingredients. You’d think you’d know how to use chocolate body paint, but the box actually offers the suggestion of using it as a face mask which is a fun alternative and something I never would have considered!

The bottle is glass. It is very weighty, and if you dropped it you’d sure know about it. I expected plastic but much enjoy the glass and am already planning what I’d use it for once I’ve used up all the chocolate! A slight downside is that due to its shape, it doesn’t stand up alone. I don’t want to always keep it in its box either.

The chocolate itself isn’t the tastiest. I find it can be a little watery despite a shake of the bottle, although in small amounts, and in the midst of fun, I really don’t mind it. This is a little disappointing, although I understand it’s a different recipe to what I’m used to as it uses hemp seed oil.

Due to the watery consistency of the chocolate, when it’s applied to the skin (with the very helpfully included and good quality brush), it doesn’t “paint” as such. It’s not necessarily thick, although it does stay on the skin until it’s removed, whether that be by tongue, lips or water (I can conclude they’re all successful).

Overall, I’d say this can be a fun little activity in the bedroom, although keep it fun, keep it lighthearted, and maybe don’t go into play with high expectations.

Lovehoney Lustful Liaison Navy Floral Lace Bra Set

Naughty in Navy

Would you look at that, another bra set from Lovehoney that doesn’t fail to impress.

I’m a size 10 on top, 36C, and 12 bottoms. I generally fit comfortably into size Medium, but this One Size set is perfect. Both components have a great element of stretch, the straps are all adjustable, and there’s a range of hook and eye fastenings on the bra. It all sits very comfortably against my body. There’s no digging in, the materials are soft, and it’s made to a high quality as is usual with Lovehoney lingerie.

I adore the scalloped edging of the bra, especially where it sits against the ribs underneath the band, and the extra straps atop each boob really catch the eye. The bra doesn’t offer much in terms of support, however the wide band provides what it can.

The thong follows with the same scalloped edging, and the double straps add a little something extra to the set, similar to the extra straps on the bra. I adjusted the straps slightly so they sat well against my hips and didn’t appear as if they were digging in (as some thinner straps do!). You can’t really go wrong with a thong like this.

I really like the mixture of lace and mesh. It provides good coverage while also providing glimpses of skin underneath, which is particularly teasing in the cups of the bra. The colour is also absolutely delicious and I can imagine it pairs beautifully with every skin tone.

This is a set I can wear on a day-to-day basis. It sits under most clothing, although the straps of the bra can make their presence known when wearing with lower cut tops. Alternatively, it’s a jaw-dropping set on its own for wear that’s focussed more in the bedroom.
