My wife and I have had a night away planned this Sunday. I'm looking for some ideas to spice the night up. We are going to a wedding during the day/evening.
How about buying some new toys and lingerie. I was going to suggest maybe a bit of bdsm but weddings are usually boozy occasions so perhaps not such a good idea as alcohol numbs the senses.
Without knowing what you both like or already have it is difficult to be more specific.
Some lingerie definitely sounds like a good idea. How about some balls for you wife to wear during the day. That would be your own little secret.

We went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and found that just the whole getting dressed up thing was enough on its own!
I don't wear a suit very often so had invested in a new 3 piece that got her excited. She said a while ago that a man in a good suit is to women what a woman in lingerie is to men.
She wore stockings under her dress and gave me the odd flash of a lacey top through the evening. She also popped back to the room to "freshen up" and whispered on returning that she wasn't wearing any knickers :D
We couldn't wait for the bride and groom to go so we could get back to the room!

+1 for booze and BDSM being a bad mix. I attend BDSM events and have a 2 drink maximum for people I play with because your partner needs to be able to read you. My current play partner reads me like a books and can tell when it's getting too much and adjust accordingly.
I would say lingerie, toys, etc as above. Nothing you haven't tried out already if you're having a drink.
If you're not drinkers by all means a bit of starter BDSM, maybe some anal play on either person, etc :)
