What you do have already? Me and my wife have recently bought the Tracy Cox Supersex bondage beginners kit and looking forward to trying that out. We already had a flogger that we hadn’t really used much, but planning on bringing it out again soon. We haven’t ventured much into the dom/sub world yet but starting to explore it by switching but I think I prefer being sub!

I’m a switch and been exploring kink and BDSM for around 2 months. One of my biggest favorites so far outside of good buckle cuffs is a spreader bar. I have the sports sheets spreader and I love it!
Also everything I’ve tried from the Dominix brand has been good quality.

Seconded here, I love a spreader bar. I’m also a fan of collars with a strap down the back for handcuffs to attach to.
A gag might be something to think about if you like the idea?
I think things like feathers and wartenburg wheels are also great for different sensations on the skin as part of foreplay, I always find them particularly effective when the recipient is restrained - it really heightens how everything feels

Just remembered I recently tried out some bondage tape and found that really good. It’s magic plastic type tape that sticks to itself and nothing else and is completely reusable.
Because it’s so versatile you can use it to try different combos without shelling out for specific restraints - eg wrist to waist, or wrist to thigh, wrist to ankle etc etc - then if you find a combo you love you know buying a serious quality specific product is worth the money.
It cleans easy and you can just roll it up when you’ve used it ready for next time.
(It can be sensible to have safety scissors though if you’re doing anything advanced just in case of any tangles in the heat of the moment)

Yes I love it, the cuffs can be strapped together as handcuffs, strapped to the loops on your sides or strapped to a separate underbed restraint!! So versatile, definitely one of my best buys.

We have found under mattress restraints and spreader bars very good. Start simple and basic to begin with. No point spending a fortune and find out its not what you are into.
There are so many different types of submission & Domination scenes and kinks, ultimately its the submissive that is in control. You say when to stop, always.

As well as owning a toy box and bag of restraints, my wife and I are fans of the Liberator position aids.
In real life, holding poses for any length of time can get tiring for non-porn performer types, so a firm support adds comfort to bondage positions, or submissive poses to help them last longer!
We have the Jaz Motion (similar to the classic wedge) which is great for face down poses with a gentle lift at the rear end.
The Bon-Bon looks good for mounting a toy and giving head at the same time. Soo many possibilities!
