Non Sticky Lube

Mrs Hairybiker and I regularly use lube with toys or for massage etc, but virtually every lube we have tried has a sticky residue like durex etc, the only one that hasn't is Super Silk by Herrco which LH dont sell. Can anyone recommend one that LH do sell??

Hi hairybiker - yeah, we find the Durex ones a bit on the sticky side too.

I was sent Sliquid http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15951 to try and I like it a lot better, except it's a bit on the tingly side! But if that's what you want, I'd recommend it

We've been using the probe lube lately http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=9844 it feels kinda sticky when you touch it with your fingers, but it's actually really slick when you use it....good watered down too, barely sticky at all then....and it's really scent and taste free, and he tastes good the morning after which doesn't happen with most lubes. It is a bit stringy though (less so watered down though)!

we love liquied silk, its the first lube weve used that never leaves you feeling sticky and it feels soooo nice! and ive read somewhere that its a good moiustriser(sp) as well.

heres my review for it http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=7164&reviewid=17708#customer_reviews it had 4 and a half stars out of 5 by the way!

we now have the huge pump bottle of it, as its so brilliant!

ANOTHER vote for liquid silk here, but sliquid also a good bet.

durex is a good lube. but it does get too sticky. especailly if used for massage

i quite like the maximus anal lube, and tracey cox does some good plain ones. x

The silicone one I tried doesn't seem to get as sticky as the water based as they dry out they tend to feel sticky.

I've found neither Tracey Cox's anal lube nor orgasmgel to be nearly as sticky as any other lube i've used so I assume the rest of her range would be similar?

Thanks all for the info and your input. Me and Mrs HairyBiker will get some liquid silk and give it a go the next time we order from LH. And no, alas, tho I have chefed in the past I don't get to cook on telly. I had the nickname long before Si and Dave got given bikes and sent around the country.

I'm tempted to try some Liquid Silk having never tried it before, but the smaller 50ml bottles dont have a pump bottle (according to the pictures).

Debating whether to just buy anyway.

Lube as massage oil? This has never occurred to me before. What's the advantage? I'm intrigued!

I know this may well be a daft question ... but what's the difference between lube and massage oil ... don't they both do the same thing ... 'slick things up'?

Normal massage oils generally cannot be used with condoms as it would rot them. As a reslt I think Durex has some lube thingies that also function as a massage 'oil'. And no question is daft!

Lube is also generally thicker than massage oil. I'm in the middle of trying to review the ID lubes which aren't sticky but they're not meant for massage x

I think lube could work as a massage oil but massage oil wouldn't work as a lube for the reason imeldaimelda stated.

Durex 2in1 is designed to be a massage oil and a lube, it's pretty good but it gets sticky quite quickly. I personally haven't tried using any other lubes for massage but I don't see why they wouldn't work.

I'll add another vote for Liquid Silk. Its almost like a hand cream, and when it eventually dries it seems to soak into the skin like a moisturiser, so using on your OH's breasts could work well!

Just remember that some toys aren't silicon compatible. Fleshlights for one, it should say on the product page what can and can't be used with it. :)

I would definitely recommend the KY massage oil selection pack in the sale. I've not finished trying them all out yet so I can't write my review but it's certainly a top class product. :)
