Basic lube

I'm looking for a new regular water based lube, nothing special but the one we have now was a fortune and goes sticky. I really don't want to spend loads, not bothered about taste or smell as long as it doesn't go sticky.

Any ideas? You guys haven't let me down yet

The standard LoveHoney stuff is good for the money (http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25000) or flavoured for just a bit more has a surprisingly good flavour (http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28056)

I personally use either the Sliquid range of lubes or the LH Anal Lube, as they are free from chemical nasties and are not sticky at all - you can also reactivate these with water during use. I personally use Sliquid Sassy for anal play and Sliquid H20 for everything else:

The LH own brand Anal Lube, is also a brilliant all rounder, and again not sticky at all :

I also have the LH Delight lube, which is really nice and silky and actually more like a moisturiser, but if unfortunately it’s out of stock at the moment:

I like the Durex feel one..it's water-based ,not sticky and doesn't smell like anything. And it's also cheap.

liquid silk for me

I actually would also recommend the LH silk lube.. (when it's back in stock).

I find that most water-based lubes will go sticky after a while, which is why we tend to prefer silicone lubes.

But the silk lube, whilst water-based, actually stayed slick and slippery for a long time, and even as it 'dried out', it at no point felt sticky or tacky.

That's the one I would highly recommend.

Me too. Love the pump action bottle!!

The cheapest, good products I have tried (and I have tried a LOT) would be the following:

Liquid Silk (Doesn't go sticky, feels lovely)

Lovehoney flavoured lubes (Not sticky in the slightest and omg,...so yummy)

I have never tried the Lovehoney water-based formula, but I have a feeling if it is basically the same formula as the flavoured lubes (minus the flavour) then it will be fabulous too.

Maximus is another lube I have not tried but it has hundreds of 4 and 5 star reviews so..Thats another cheap lube to consider.

Moving into more mid-range products, you really can't go wrong with the Sliquid brand. I have never had a issue with stickiness or any other issue with this brand and I have tried a fair few of their lubes.

Lovehoneys silk lube is good and doesn't go sticky. My partner also hates sticky lubes :)

so easy to just have in the drawer, pull it out, squirt in hand and shut drawer all mid session!

I've tried a few, liquid silk for me. I love the pump action and for me it lasts oodles longer than sliquid just doesn't taste great for oral but if you aren't fussed. Liquid silk.

Well I think liquid silk has it! Thanks guys

The best lubes i've had were testers so i can't name names as they're not available on here but of the lubes i have bought http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=15225 has been the best it doesn't go sticky or dry up quickly

just to point out Liquid Silk is listed as containing Glycerine & Parabens you might want to avoid it if you are sensitive to either

I would second LH lubes, they are glycerin and paraben free as far as I know.

Then Sliquid lubes are good too.

I would never be able to use Liquid Silk, as I am sensitive to glycerin and paraben so lube with either is a huge no go for me.

Oh thanks myghost I wouldn't have noticed that, we've always used lube without them best to stay away just in case, don't like nasty chemicals

I'm sensitive to glycerin (though I dabble, It's a military operation to avoid a UTI!) and although the LH basic lube is recommended here and I do use it, I find the taste really chemical and minging (though it's a good lube, it's a big neg for me).

What would anyone recommend that's glycerin free, compatible with silicone toys (lovehoney's satisfy me dildos, mostly) and, ideally, flavourless (for oral after the penetrative play I need lube for - flavoured is ok but kind of misses the point for me)? I can start a new thread if necessary but as this is my first post I don't know the etiquette in here ;)

I use Liquid Silk and the texture is addicting and definitely doesn't get sticky, I got my first bottle of sliquid today to get off the parabens and other nasties in Liquid Silk. I've heard a lot of good stuff about Sliquid, the anal lube is a bit thicker so I assume it's less likely to get sticky (which sliquid isn't supposed to to anyway).

Any one of Sliquid's (unflavored) lubes! They're all paraben and glycerin free and even have organic options or with sea based ones and the general opinion seems to be that they're free of any weird taste or smell

(I just got my first bottle of their anal lube Sassy and it smells a bit like soap, only faintly and pleasantly so but making me scared of tasting it, for your sake I did anyway and to my surprise it's like licking thick water - completely flavorless )

I use Sliquid lubes as I have sensitivity/allergy problems with other brands.
