Not a rant but pretty please give me a bit of support

Thank you again, folks.

It went well... in a way. The job is much more, well, "hectic" than I expected, though. Instead of teaching "standard" courses it entails running/driving about and visiting various business companies and giving "one to one" lessons to various employees (usually mid-rank executive people and technical specialists) who are expected to improve their language skills. That means specifically "tailored" lessons for each individual (that would not be a problem). The bit that worries me is, however, the fact that they constantly keep on rescheduling their lessons which means it is unbelievably unpredictable (and frankly, the pay does not exactly match the hectic nature of the job which puts me off a bit).

I am considering accepting it for the time being, purely to enhance my CV and (more importantly) to get to know a bit about some exec people who work in the area. In a long run, I am considering applying for some HR/international trade job and this experience might help me learn a bit about people who work for larger business companies in the area - and I might be able to (innocently and inconspicuously) ask a bit about various jobs ("What does your company expect you to learn in these lessons?").

If it was me Briona , I would give it a go. It might seem a bit hectic at first but once you gert settled in , you will set up your own systems and alter things to suit you. So it may become easier that way in the future. If nothing else it will give you terrific experience and may be a stepping stone to get the job that you really want.

So for now go for it. ![](upload://lJMrTcqgi5lI1FOpb07OYOcv2YF.gif)

Congratulations hope the money side isn't too bad though, but well done.

Sorry, I haven't been able to come around much this week as I'm on a business trip, so I missed this Wednesday, but it is obvious to me you would have done well! I think your idea of gaining insight for future carrier plans is spot on, and well worth a go! Congrats!

Things at my job have been very hectic so I totally missed this being absent from the forum a bit this week. Keep us posted hon... it may not have been a bad thing to get the call that quickly and just get the interview done vs. having time to stew about it =)

Yay - well done!

Honestly I would give it a go. It is always easier to find a more suitable position when you are already in a job weirdly - I think it takes the pressure off HAVING to find something.

Good luck whatever your decision xx

Congratulations Briona, I knew they'd love you! Like you said, the experience will be a great stepping stone for getting what you really want, a great way to network and get your name out there. Well done! x
