Everyone will have different answers, but for me it’s the ring and pump
I can never find a ring to use with pump,just lose erection straight away.
As above - entirely depends what underlying reason for not getting hard is.
I find a ring useful for staying hard if the erection is due to arrousal - but an erection induced purely with a pump decays quickly whatever I do.

I find that an erection produced by a penis pump disappears very quickly even with a restriction ring.
An erection produced with the aid of Sildanafil can last hours with the correct stimulation.
There are recognised side effects to Sildanafil though so consult your doctor before taking it.

Which pump and ring do you use
Heartburn……… it’s not great mid stride if it kicks in then but worth it if it kicks in after

I get lightheaded (slightly) and a minor headache later in the day. I also get a flushed face so I can’t hide the fact that I’ve taken one from my wife
.
The full list is scary but my side effects are very mild.

I’d suggest giving both a test to see what works best for you as everyone is different 
Tried a pump didn’t stay hard even with a ring , I use tadafil works a treat , as others have said try both see how it works for you , good luck
