Excuse my prurience but I have a question for the homosexual women of the OA. Do u prefer to be referred to as 'gay' or as 'lesbian'?
I have a close friend who is a lesbian and she doesnt mind either, she doesnt even mind "dyke". i guess its different for all x
I think it will depend on the context and individuals, much as I have an Asian friend who shall we say embraces other terms.
I tend to use 'gay' more I think, mainly because being 'straight' doesn't apply to either gender.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear.
'Gay' and 'straight' are gender neutral terms in the respect anyone, male or female, can be either. Of course you don't get lesbian men!
I don't think it matters at all, some people may prefer the more specific term but I just use gay out laziness.External Media
