Sex toys - Colours!

Obviously, preferably there would be other colours but hey, pink is a universally girly colour that lots of women find feminine and innocent when buying a toy... You have to admit that black and silver look more offending and masculine! Can't please everyone all the time =)

really? I never thought of it as masculine colour. And pink is often taken as feminine, but I think that is something we invented in our minds and thats what is expected. And I dont find black/silver toys really masculine. I have the Mia in black and I am finding it extremely classy, but I guess thats a personal choice. And, no, you cannot please everyone all the time, but more choice would be nice for more products

Well... a friend showed me a picture of him in pink. I stil have "nightmares" about it 4 months later External Media But i admit I am extreme. I understand some love pink, but I would like more variability in colours.

Hahaha waking up in a cold sweat because of that :P I'm not sure wether I like that green, I like more of a vibrant green (like the shopping cart icon) aswell as a teal-green (like the colour of my hair on the Top left of my avatar) I would like more variablity too. Pinks just a bit too girly for me.

I do like the colour, but I cannot afford to buy it right now plus I am slightly worried about the girth, if it would not be too much for me.

oh and 2 more green External Media

Well, I'm not saying that black and silver shouldn't be for women. I agree with you entirely that they make proucts look sleek and classy, and in my opinion, often more modern and expensive. I personally like them too, moreso than pink, however I think a lot of women buying their first sex toys, or from a more reserved background may find it easier to buy pink things. I am not saying this will be the case for everyone, but these generalisations have to be made in advertising and marketing, sadly.
Pink is a very fluffy, girly product, that will often make a product seem fun and innocent, as opposed to looking like an expensive metallic sex machine! On the flip-side, however, when pink isn't done well, it can come off looking seedy and over-done. It's a fine line...

I suppose that makes sense.. The pink puts some women into a sense of security?

I really like the black, sleek, modern look though.

I suppose it depends on the toy, some colours lend themselves better to certain designs. However I do wish that there was less pink in the toy range. Don't like pink.

I quite like white, possibly with it cleanliness connotations, and purple's my favourite colour.

I'd love to see more colour ranges and even some multi coloured toys... psychedelic ones even!

So far the most colourful ones I've seen are some Joytoy ones, can't see any on LH but they're bright multi coloured vibes with soft spikes all over them.. really funky looking. I think they're called groovy vibes or something. They also do teh groovy chic g spot vibes in really bright colours, shame LH doesn't stock them. Suppose they can't keep all colours in stock.

Come to think of it most of my toys are pink or purple! i do have a white vibrator with hearts on that Love Honey sold last year but the colours on that have started to run so i tend to stear clear of white toys now!

I'd love more green ones or maybe blue!

I'm not wild on pink either, but I'm more bothered about style than colour. I can't be doing with anything glittery or kitsch, and lots of the pink things fall into this category, but not solely because they are pink.

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=12383 - to my mind, hideous

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=12129 - quite appealing

make any sense?!

SS xx

hmm, don't really mind the colour of toys. I don't think brown would work though, especially on a butt plug!

I don't think i have one colour that I always go for, I'm not really bothered :P

We've got a couple of pinks, reds, purples and blue :)

That's exactly what I thought. =/

Colour preferences:

  1. Yellow, blue, green
  2. Black, white, red
  3. Silver, gold
  4. Other colours that aren't pink or purple

When pink or purple are the only choices, I go for pink over purple, but if there's anything else, I go for the else. I agree with others that some multicoloured swirls and other options would be fun.

This is one thing I love about Lelo and FunFactory, they aren't afraid of playing with the colours of their toys.

I would Love a green toy. I think there is something very fresh about a nice leaf green. I also love the orange colour of the Lelo Ina.

I have nothing against pink as a rule, I just can't get the apparent Love for pink that some sex toy makers seem to have for it.

yeah, purple is my favorite colour and nearly everything i own is purple. you should see my living room External Media

and there was me thinking *I* was the only one that loved purple that much

especially the shade that is right between red and blue, it messes with my eyes and they cant decide weather its more red or blue. so pretty.

unfortunatly not ALL of my wife and my sex toys are purple, for the simple fact that not all toys come in a purple variety, but its definatly better when they do!
