I am in need of a good paddle, one that leaves a nice red ass, not overly stingy (some sting is okay) and can be used over a prolonged time (I have quite a lot of spankings that I need to do.)
I've not used a lot of equipment, aside from a wooden spatula and spoon, so I don't think it'd be a good idea to jump into something for advanced users.
I'm thinking oh buying a leather or wooden one. I was looking at the Bondage Boutique Bamboo/Leather seude paddle. Would either of these be a good option?

A bamboo paddle stings like hell ! It does leave a nice red bum but it really does hurt.

We received the fifty shades paddle as a free gift a while back and have found it very good. It has a satin side to start off with some light spanking and then a leather side to leave a nice red mark. We've used it a lot and it's holding up well. The silver/grey colour is a huge turn off. :(
I have this and although it says its advanced its not too bad. The suede side delivers a good thumping kind of smack while the leather gives a fair sting. It does leave a nice red bum if used on the leather side...but it dosent hurt TOO much !

We have something similar, I love the double one because you don't know which side you are going to get !!!!!
