My wife and I are deciding to start a blog on all our sexual adventures and toys we have been purchasing and testing. I’m pretty new to this so decided to use tumblr. Does anyone have any advice on either A using tumblr or B other blogging sites. If you’re interested to see what we have so far it’s under mrandmrsobox and we named it The “O” Box. Hopefully I can get some followings and give lovehoney some business 🤞🏻🤞🏻😊.

I haven't used tumblr myself, I started my blog using WordPress and I must say it was easy to use and set up and easy to become independent (get a .com web address) when I felt ready.
If you want to send Lovehoney business, you should definitely apply to be an affiliate with them. If you do this you will make a small commission on every sale that is made by people clicking on links to Lovehoney products through your blog. Here's the info if you've not joined already:

Thanks for the help! Is Wordpress free? I was going to is them but showed monthly fees. Just starting out I wasn’t looking at purchasing a website domain.
If you want to use affiliate links on your blog then you’ll need your own domain as wordpress doesn’t allow the use of them on their free site. Tumblr is cracking down on adult content as are a lot of other websites unfortunately so do some research before setting anything up. I know a couple people about a year ago who had free Wordpress sites with adult content on and they were deleted for being against their terms so I’m not sure if they’ve changed that or not?

Wordpress.com is free for their basic package which will have ads on your page. There are also paid versions for a bigger site, no adds and more features. Have a look at http://www.wpbeginner.com/category/beginners-guide/
Wordpress is definitely better for a blog with mostly text (but some images and videos). Tumblr is more image oriented. Tumblr also has more of a reputation for porn which could be a good or bad thing.
I'd try them both before you "go live"
Yep, WordPress is free, your blog would be something.WordPress.com there are options to pay to upgrade, so to speak, but to begin with you can definitely just use the free version 😉
Nat is completely right in everything she said though. If you do a bit of searching through the other adult blogs a lot of them have guides to setting up sex blogsI use wordpress but bought my own domain and pay a yearly fee. Took me a while to get used to it.
Never used tumblr so can't help you there.
Thanks again, I am working on my wordpress blog now. Seems to be going fine so far. And I am looking into the affiliate program as well. Anything to help promote lovehoney. They have been great with us so far with customer service, the forums, and testing items.

I’ll probably test the waters and see how many views and following I can get and if I’m successful, I’ll purchase the Wordpress upgrade to own my own domain so I can become part of the affiliate program. I went through the hassle of trying to join the program but realized I have to have my own domain to be validated. So for right now it looks like I will use the free version and promote lovehoney that way. Wish me luck!
Well done on setting up your blog I was going to say setting up on Wordpress is where I began with my blog and set up is relatively easy as you get used to having a blog.
