It’s the reason I rarely post here to be honest, the repetition and one dimensional posts, I know it’s a sex toy site but I yearn for a conversation that isn’t w**k material for horny guys. I just find it becomes very boring. I wont deny I’ve ever done it tho.

On the reading the forum rules, I don’t think anyone, or hardly anyone reads the rules when joining a forum, I know I don’t. Not saying that’s correct, just reality.
Like when u join a site or accept an itunes update, who sits and reads 15 pages of small print to accept an update lol, just click accept n go.
Personally id prefer it here it if you could have conversations with people, but I guess that’s been taken away because it would change the forum into a meet people forum and would be bombarded with guys for that, and only that.

I agree with what you're saying CL, unfortunately this sort of stuff seems to happen on all forums though, and I think Lovehoney generally do a good job at keeping things under control and point new members in the right direction.
What I find off putting is the amount of flirting that goes on now, it's not bad enough to make me want to hit the report button (after all, some of it may be wrongly perceived my me and it's not aimed at me anyway), but bad enough that there's some threads I no longer feel comfortable contributing to. I just feel like I can't tell my OH these forums are completely innocent when stuff like that is going on, even if it's meant harmlessly. (It may seem OTT to some people but it bothers me)
Also a lot of 1 on 1 chatting in some threads, which again I'm sure we're all guilty of doing from time to time but it does spoil the forum atmosphere sometimes.
I do still enjoy chatting on here though, there's lots of lovely people and I feel as though I've made some good friends here, even if we haven't met in person!

This makes me uncomfortable too. I never want to be 'that guy' and report but I'm still sitting there thinking eesh, that's against the rules for a reason guys :/
And I know it's silly of me, but when it's people who are in relationships who are doing it it makes me doubly uncomfortable. Like...no offense, but you shouldn't be coming on here to flirt with other people behind your OH's back. You know? Makes the place feel seedy and like I'm not exactly welcome. I'd hate my OH to think that's how I talk on here, it'd make him feel awful!
That's exactly how I feel Lovebirds! I sort of think 'am I overreacting if I report this?' So I don't, but if my partner came on here and saw people talking like that he definitely wouldn't feel comfortable with me being on here anymore, even if I'm not a part of it. And to be honest I don't want to be part of forums like that anyway because it crosses a boundary for me, so I am careful to stay out of threads where that's going on :/

I had to report someone the other day - their post was like reading a porno script and they were obviously looking for hook ups. There was also someone recently who posted a photo of his willy! It makes me feel really uncomfortable as I enjoy being on here but don't want to have to explain things like that to hubby...

It wouldn't be so bad normally, but being in a relationship I don't feel like I should be on a website where people are trying to hook up etc. if that makes any sense? Even though I'm not doing anything wrong, it just doesn't feel right sometimes.

I had a look through the forum before introducing myself as I didn't want to sign up to something that was just going to be basically a bunch of guys trying to get a cheap thrill hounding any female that comes near the site.
Like it's been said if my wife signed up here (she is thinking about is pending the results from our first order lol) and it was seen as a flirt/hookup site I'd be buried under the patio by the end of the day lol.
It seems to me that it's a friendly site with a core of regular posters which as a noobie to the site that can be imtimidating a bit like the new kid at school you don't know what to say.
I would hate to think I was being seen as someone who's signed up to hook up or be seedy in anyway. I'm on here as my wife has shown interest in introducing toys to the bedroom what better way to look in to it than a forum full of people that use them.

We did the same went for basics stuff mainly as my wife just wanted to try a couple of bits to see if she could get her interest in sex back (it worked before getting the dispatch confirmation lol) we sat together and I let her browse the site and she had an idea of what she wanted to try but didn't want to spend too much as we are just getting started.

It's great that you want to contribute! I also joined because I was trying to restart our sex life - which also worked just getting our first order!
