It was the “Fun Factory Bi Stronic Fusion Vibrator”.
I have a backup copy of my review so that’s not a problem but I’m afraid although I know of the way back machine I’ve no idea where to find it or how to use it . Instructions would be very useful if it’s a way I could grab a photo . I won’t bother with other no longer stocked products but this one was a particular bug bear!
Edit It is - Thank you!
Maybe, not discontinued but just out of stock so doesn’t appear in searches? Thank you again, got to pop out but will continue review adding in a bit… lot more positive ones to go up too
First off, for discontinued products that are no longer accessible through the main shopping site menus I do a forum search, and see if that brings up any direct page links (new or old are fine, as the old ones redirect ). Checking your order history can be useful too, if you can brave it.
If that turns up a broken page (either ‘Ooops. This page no longer exists!’, or just missing images or reviews) then I try and find an old-style link that I can paste into the search bar of the Wayback Machine website.
Searching an address in there will then take you to a calender style page showing all the snapshots that have been taken over the years (if any) - select one of those and you’ll be taken to the archive version on that date. You can then flick backwards and forwards in time through all the different versions using the navigation bar at the top. Some are better than others. To get the photos I have to tilt my phone into landscape.
It can be a bit of a quest to find something specific as the results can be patchy, and it can often be a bit slow, but it’s helped me out a few times.
It was much easier to find missing ones when the French site was still waiting to be updated. I was very impressed by how thorough the old review database was. I think I only had to ask Brenna for about 15-20 reviews out of about 530 for the Hall of Fame, and they went back all the way to 2010. And most of those were because the French site didn’t stock the product.
I’m getting no luck here either. They’re in order of rating rather than ‘newest’ in the wayback archived pages, and that can throw the chronology off if you didn’t give them 5 stars.
I think as they’re for live products they’ll be useful to re-post to the product page, as well as in the My Reviews topic, so it’s probably worth asking?
Thought I’d reply here… @Green_Eyed_Girl I can’t work out how to make the star emoji’s big in the DOTD post, I think you had the same problem? They’re within a big loop but I must be missing some clever formatting trick. Any ideas?
It will do until our beloved @Ian_Chimp 's return but it is irritating me.
Thanks… no, it worked. For some reason I thought you couldn’t embed the big loops so I had one around the whole line but that didn’t make the emoji’s big. An additional around both emoji did the trick .
Knew the small loops embedded thought the big ones didn’t… maybe just for emoji’s?
Must have had a space! Second version my embedded brackets didn’t have a space so just worked out the same
I ended up with this:
<big> <big></big> **Deal of the Day** <big></big> </big>
But this, as you say, works the same but with less text:
<big></big> **Deal of the Day** <big></big>
So did have the space. Wonder why text is fine with a space but emoji’s aren’t? Oh well. Problem solved, thank you.
FYI If you put a back slash directly in front of formatting commands it discards the command and just writes the text so you don’t need to put full stops in.
