Toy box help

Mrs Mozz and I are amassing an increasing number of toys, and we're in need of somewhere to store them. She's a bit worried about anyone finding them in my bedside drawer.

Ideally, it would still fit in the draw, and be lockable. Any suggestions?

I've been looking into this also. They're kept in my bedside drawer and atm are stored in a shoe box with a lift up lid but the box isn't big enough. I've just bought the DOTD two pack of glass dildos so there's definitely not enough room now! I've found a big toiletries bag on eBay (there's a few sellers selling the same one. It's just slightly smaller than the drawer itself (it's a good size) so hopefully it will do the job at keeping them all hidden but safe from dust etc

Just realised you've mentioned lockable. Obviously a toiletries bag isn't! Erm, what about a couple of cash tins? Lol!

Have you got enough room for a small toolbox/petty cash tin (not the prettiest things in the world though) in there? I put in 'lockable storage box' on amazon and there's a couple of plain wooden ones with locks that look pretty inconspicious.

Hi Mozz

My first question would be, who would is going through your drawers who shouldnt be (i assume kids)?

With regards your problem, have you considered a good old fashioned single key cabinet lock? Depending on your DIY skills they are very simple to fit and would be less curious than a locked box in a drawer.

I use a vanity lockable box, it won't fit in a draw, at least mine won't. But I leave it at the side of my vanity table. It's something like this,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beauty-Boxes-Tropez-Cosmetics-Make-up-Beauty/dp/B000R5EVQ2/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1386034167&sr=8-10&keywords=vanity+case

I store my dildos ect in the bottom compartment, bullets in the second layer, and massage oils, lubes and spare batteries in the top.

You have to watch when storing some items together as the materials can react with one another, Currently all my dildos are either glass or metal so the LH storage bags to keep them seperate and in the bottom compartment surfices.

I then have another one that is in my wardrobe, also locked that contains my blidefolds, handcuffs ect and general things I use with the OH.

When I've got the room and back in my own place I will invest in something like this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mollycoddle-Hairdressing-Cosmetics-Trolley-DELIVERY/dp/B007HA9UJI/ref=pd_sim_sbs_beauty_1

Which will be able to store all my whips, floggers, toys all together. Each has lockable compartments, and some bits can be removed for easy travel. xx

Thanks Sleepycelia, I'll check them out. And sadly Tiberius, my DIY skills are nonexistent!

Forgot to mention if you do a search on the lockable vanity cases you'll also be able to find some smaller depth but longer boxes, that should fit in a drawer dependant on size. x

Thanks Frozen. I'm heading to Amazon now!

We just have a large ottoman at the end of the bed (which is nearly full, lh addiction!) it isn't lockable but would be simple to attach a lock to?

I have a couple of these:

They have a foam lining too which is great for preventing scratches to glass toys.

Morning Mozzalini - we actually use 2 laptop cases as they have lots of compartments and are lockable too. We got ours on Amazon. Then all of our crops, paddles & floggers are hung up on the wall in our wardrobe behind our clothes. We also have various bondage ties and rope that are permanently attached to our bed. Would be a disaster if you took the wrong laptop case to a meeting though- lol :) xx

We don't really need anything lockable as our kids don't come in our room unsupervised. Plus OH has recently put a tubular lock thingy majiggy at the top of our door which is great as it's not an obvious lock. We needed one anyway as they're teenagers and leave them at home most of the time when we're nipping out here and there and that's where all the Xmas presents are! Teenagers will snoop no matter how well behaved they are. At the end of the day, a parents bedroom should be private imo.

I've been thinking about this too. I figured we'd want something with a combination lock rather than key, because you don't want to have to hide - and then be hunting for - keys in a separate place.

I've decided on one of these:-

We got a lockable wooden box from Amazon that goes under the bed:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005SVL672/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm sure there are lots of different sizes

i've got a couple of old fashioned brief cases with combination locks on them. Fit nicely under the bed and easy to say its just old paperwork if ever questioned.

probably get one in a charity shop

I have an earring holder and for my handcuff keys and my toy box keys, I've made earrings from the spare keys. So that on my earring holder they just look like key earrings but really they're the key to my toy boxes and my handcuffs!. Helps to stop you misplacing them.

Oooohhh - I have just spied a new LH toy bag - very nice - fingers crossed there will be the other size available too :) xx

there are a whole range of cheap lockable "coin boxes" that comes in all different shapes. one of those would probably fit your drawer. just throw out the "inside tray" and theres a lot of room in it.

what about a Lunch Boxxx https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lunch-Boxxx/233834003342150 it might not fit in a draw it is at least lockable and discreet enough it looks like a jewellery box when closed
