Weird jobs

A random thought that struck me earlier...and maybe I'm not thinking straight, but presumably there must be some Photoshop boffin whose job it is to airbrush out nipples, cocks and vaginas in sheer fabric underwear photos?

At first I thought maybe models might wear nude coloured underwear beneath some lingerie, but surely not possible with most lingerie...

Just one of the hundreds of random things that flies through my head on a daily basis!

You can get nude coloured nipple pasties and often thick make-up will do the job. My friend's a make up artist and she said she's had to do full body (and I mean FULL) makeup before. Talk about a weird job!

That's even funnier, applying makeup to vaginas! :D

Ahahaha! That's better than a vajazzle by a long shot.

I must say that I find it weird that "nipples" have to be covered up on a sex toy shopping site.

I find it a bit aggrevating that female nipples has to be covered but not male nipples. What's the difference?

This is Matt's job!

When we arrange shoots for out Lovehoney products, we give models the option to wear nude nipple pasties and a C-string, but some models prefer not to. Either way, we still have to edit the those out, so it doesn't make much of a difference whether they wear them or not.

Supplier images however, require a lot more retouching as they usually have it all out!

We edit out nipples, genitals, pubic hair and sometimes even edit a model to put clothes ON her! A great example of when we do this is for our Fleshlights Girls which are based on porn stars. The supplier images are almost always naked / topless, so we go in an dress the poor girls for the British weather before we put the product live on the site ;)

This is because of Google. If we had our way, all nipples would be free!

Google "crawls" websites for terminology, imagery and other important factors to decide how it will rank you website. Google sees female nipples as pornographic so as soon as it spots a lady nip, it pushes your website right down in the search results :(

I thought I saw one of the girls on the Fleshlight image wearing some lingerie that you sold here on Lovehoney! Now I know why!

When you say google "crawls" for imagery, how does it know there's a photo of a nipple? Or does a person manually check the images?

To be perfectly honest, I have no idea how Google wizardry works, but it's not a human. It's a bot.

Google "crawls" all websites for content to decide whether it wants to promote you on page 1 of search results, or bury you on page 375 where no one will find you. I think it's some sort of intelligent programme which has certain criteria it looks for. Nudity, swear words etc being key "bad" points in Google's "eyes".

Here is the definition (from Google!)

See which robots Google uses to crawl the web. "Crawler" is a generic term for any program (such as a robot or spider) used to automatically discover and scan websites by following links from one webpage to another. Google's main crawler is called Googlebot.
