Wouldn't want to make a decision as I have had sex at all times during the day and enjoyed. If a choice was necessary, it would be after a shower.

I am bigggg on morning sex and my oh is even bigger on it. There's rarely a morning we're together that we won't make sure we wake up early enough for a fumble at minimum. There is no better way to wake up! Or be woken...
But yeah I agree it can often feel rushed or is usually just a quick one. Night time is the best time for experimenting or good sessions I think, especially if you've made yourselves wait all day for it.
OH is very keen on morning sex, I'm not fussed what time it is. :P
