I'm looking to buy my OH some stockings as a surprise but I'm not sure which ones to go for as:
I have never bought any and she has never worn any before.
What should I go for?
Do you have an idea of what outfit it is to go with? Or is it just for general use? Does she have a suspender belt, or will you need one as well? Or will you be wanting stockings that hold up by themselves without the need for suspenders?

I was just looking for something general as I don't have a outfit in mind, what is better ones that attach to a suspender belt or stay up on their own?
Has she ever shown any interest in wearing stockings? If yes think about investing in a nice suspender belt with metal clips. If she hasn't think about starting with some hold ups (either natural or barely black) as long as her thighs aren't too thin (they will fall down) or on the large side (cut off her circulation! Neither of those is particularly romantic.

It depends what look you're after. Personally, I think stockings look better with a suspenders, but I have wore outfits with just hold ups, but they just don't feel as secure at staying up without the suspender belt.
