Since watching our very own Annabelle Knight presenting sex toys up in the green room, I've come to really appreciate people who have the confidence and poise to do any sort of presenting on camera.
Last night, I came across this sex blogger's videos on youtube (holidaychild/Kara_Sutra) and I ended up watching several of them back-to-back. I really enjoyed them (with the exception of being told each time that the packaging was discreet and I could fit all my condoms and lube in the box too...) and think it's a great guide to how the toy looks and feels in the hands of a user.
What do you make of these video reviews? Do you ever specifically go and watch them to help you make your decisions? Is it something you could see yourself doing? Do you just think they're plain annoying?

Really can't stand Kara_Sutra, but that's personal taste. I prefer the vloggers that are more about giving criticism (good or bad) on the toy instead of just pushing products for a company.

I find them really useful when making a decision as a picture and a detailed explantion sometimes isn't good enough.
I think they're a great idea to show how the toy works easier than a step by step instruction, I think they people are very good, I could see myself doing it as I think sex toys are a great part of sex and would enjoy spreading the joy!!

Tigerlilies - Oh, fab - some more to watch! After a quick preview they seem much more my style! Kara_Sutra does certainly come across as a little too evangelical, it's true.
Not sure the Debby Herbenick is the right link (it's Dr Ruthie reviewing the Siri) but I look forward to watching the whole thing (love the Siri myself... have I said that before?!)
GHxx - how do you go about finding the videos? Do you trust a 'real life' reviewer more? Or do you think they're too 'sponsored' in some cases (like with Kara_Sutra)?

I either go online n search the toy n reviews normally come up on you-tube or specific websites, I like a reviewer to give the good and bad and I think they are at times too 'sponsored' but I can normally tell from the deomstration if I think I'll like it.
I do tend to trust a real life reviewer more however the reviews written on here are just as helpful and honest which again i find extremely useful as I hope others find my reviews helpful too
Going on a website like http://pleasurists.com/ NSFW (which is amazing) you can start to find some great vloggers. Some videos are more like demonstration pieces where people just give you an idea of noise volumes and compare them in size to other products. I agree with GHxx, if I'm looking for a review, I want to hear it from an independent source. I like to watch the videos on LoveHoney for an idea on what the product looks and sounds like and any offers available with the product.
I don't like the Kara women... She does sounds a bit too tele marketing mixed with American sports presenting.
I think the problem with many of the professional reviewers who do vids is they seem right up the backside of the company who sends stuff out. I really do love LH's review policy, especially how bad reviews don't count negatively.

I actually think I prefer reading to be honest.
Reading is a good way to interpret you own views on the opinions given also I think as there's no face to text as such they are more honest it's just harder to explain sometimes and better to show!
yeah i do find some vloggers quite useful........i always read reviews for anything before i buy....especially sex toys......some videos are quite informative but yeah some presenters are better than others......some videos i just switch off as they are awful.................i much prefer to read reviews personally!!
