That sounds like an interesting, ad irritating problem you have Ruby. I think I might know whats wrong, however first i need to ask these basic questions. Have you tried....
* shouting at it?
* swearing, creativly, and possibly in the tone of Iain McKellan whilst reciting Shakespear during climax?
* searching for an Apple Mac, and then threatening "to buy one if you don't start working. I mean it. I'll do it.. youuuuu just see if i don't!"?
* typing "sarcastically" so it knows how annoyed you are?
Assuming you have tried ll of those, Have you tried..
* removing the battery? (sounds odd, but sometimes it works)
* cleaning the ventelation ducts? A major cause of IT issues is over heating. This can happen when the CPU is unable to cool properly because of dust in the ventelation pipes.
* Both Google and Hotmail / Lookout err, Outlook, have suffered some outages recently. This could have prevented your access.
* using Firefox in Debug mode? Often websites can have hiccups, and cause the browser to crash. Firefox has tools, and addon's that can help eliminate these.

i tried all of ther first lot with gusto ... ill look into some of the second lot as its just done it again .

is the debug mode the same as safemode?
