Hi Vickyboo and welcome. We've tried various things, sometimes quite large in fact. Kegel balls can be a lot of fun, but probably best to start small and work your way up. Have fun and use plenty of lube.
Try a vibrating egg. A remotely controlled one works very well, as you can take contoll of it or he can. I can usually feel it very strongly whee we do this.

If you want to get a toy you would like to use for more than one orifice i'd chose something sterilizable like silicone. Jelly cannot be steralized at all. It's not a clean material at the best of times.
Have you considered buying a smaller butplug to use vaginally? Like kegal balls, the narrower stem might help to keep it inside while he's round the back.
