Title says it all really. My OH and I regularly enjoy anal sex so I'm used to the sensation, but I'd like to buy a few anal toys. Any recommendations? Advice?
Thank you :)

Depends on your budget, but if it'll stretch to £35 then you should get this set;

Some people prefer plugs, others prefer beads, both of which are very different. This set will give you plenty to get you started.
If you don't want to spend this much then you should go for a medium plug (if you already enjoy anal sex you may find a small plug a bit, well, small) and a set of beads such as these
I have this one and it is amazing - it's also in the sale at the moment :) xx
I love these - http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17139

Thanks all, I like the look of this one the best I think and only £10! :)
This is very good for beginners, it stays in place and feels gentle and can be used to warm up for bigger toys:

Another great plug, this time with a bit of texture. very comfortable and easy to use:

To begin with, I would personally say avoid anything made from glass and metal. (Unless you get something very small) because glass and metal does not flex or squish to conform to your internal shape, it can feel more intense, more noticeable and more uncomfortable even, especially if you go for a long toy like a glass dildo (Poking sensations within) The best for comfort, for a beginner I would say would be silicone. (I would avoid jelly personally) If you do go for glass or metal, go a little smaller than what you think you can take. Glass is amazingly smooth and feels great for anal but just beware that it feels more intimidating than it looks. For example, I can manage a 6 inch silicone dildo in my butt, but cannot at all get my 5 inch girth glass plug into my butt without massive stretching and discomfort.
Think about what you want. Thrusting? Something to fill you? Something to wear for long periods? Something textured to provide popping sensations or something smooth?
That will help you choose whether to go for a dildo, or a plug, or beads, or anal vibrators.
Good luck x

Thanks Fluffbags...how do you know what you want? Just by having a go I guess?
Pretty much. It is trial and error. I have hundreds of sex toys and have a much better idea what i want but even still things surprise me. I would start cheap, to get an idea of what works best for you. If you fancy a thrusting toy, or something to simulate penetration I recommend the Tantus Silk in small:
http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=692
That is if you want a very gentle and subtle sensation, as it has no texture it is very easy to take and manage, but you will probably find you want to feel a little more, and might prefer something a bit textured after a while.
If you start a little cheaper, it means you won't blow your budget on one toy that you might only use for a short time, or even dislike.
If I were to recommend something to you, I would say look for two things. Firstly a plug. Something that will sit inside you hands free and then a thrusting toy, like a anal dildo (Always get anal toys with flared bases) with both of these toys you will get an idea if you like the full but still sensation of a plug (try keeping it in during sex and masturbation) or the thrusting, moving sensation of a dildo style toy. I would say get one with texture (Ripples, bulbs, undulating textures) and one completely smooth and texture free. With those two products you should begin to get a much clearer idea what you prefer. You are right though, it is trial and error.
I also recommend trying something....when you get your anal toy, try holding a vibrator to the base when it is inserted. Although the sensations will be slightly muted, it will give you an idea if you like vibration inside your bum, and that could lead to enjoying anal vibrators.
Have fun with your experiments, if it helps, I wrote a detailed guide about beginning with anal play on my blog: http://grittywoman.co.uk/anal-guide/
And Lovehoney have great guides too:

Enjoy your experimenting! xx
Anal toys - where to start?

Thank you so much Fluffbags, that really helps. Will go and read your blog now :)

have to agree scorpious , we have 2 of these , one each and i challenge anyone to have as much fun for 20 quid as we have with them ,,, epic
Like everyone has said there are a couple I roads you can go down but it's just trial and error. I like to feel full so I generally stick to plugs unless pegging while my OH enjoys the sensation of anal beads, especially when climaxing. So I'd recommend trying a few cheaper options out and see what suits.
Oh and fluffbags idea of using a vibrator with a plug really works!

You are welcome!
And yes, I recommend buying a seperate toothbrush for the job, not the same one used for your teeth! lol. I have one... my sex toy toothbrush. It comes in handy for many toys with demarcation lines, awkward seams or texture that is difficult to get into with a cloth or your hands.
Everyone needs a sex toy toothbrush! lol :D
