Hello you lovely people. Well as the title of this thread suggests, I was thinking of trying an anal toy but I’m hoping to find something that’s not too intimidating as it would be the first time I have ever tried anything anal. Has anyone got any good recommendations of where to start? Your advice is as always very much appreciated. 🙂

Another vote for glass - although we bought the first clear one that chlo recommended and I love t but it was really difficult and I’d started off with the LH basic beaded one - we didn’t want to spend lots initially as wasn’t sure if we would like it. There are some other glass ones smaller the chlo suggest which are going on my wish list too - thanks chlo 😉!
I would aim for silicone or glass if I’m honest the basic ones are great but the pvc material attracts any bits of fluff etc.

Beginner styles tend to be small and have gentle profiles nothing wrong with that, this can mean they slip out at times just to note nothing you're doing wrong.

Excellent choice! Was one of the first we tried, I would say to make sure you keep it in the bag if you can as ours stuck to one of our toys, I think it was the other dildo though which decided to melt.
That's a good choice for a beginner although some people fin dit is too small and keeps popping out! There is loads of good advice here and in the LH blog but I would add that you might find it worth while trying graduated anal beads as they start so small and you can increase the size with depth as you get more camfortable. Glass is wonderful for anal as people have said, but most glass toys (especially plugs) might be a tad large for a beginner.

I actually keep all the original packaging so when I'm done using a toy (and giving it a good clean), I simply put it back in it's box and tuck it away in my wardrobe. I find that storing toys away in the original packaging really helps to prolong the overall efficiency of it. 😀

I will see how I get on with my purchase and if I find it alright then I will seriously contemplate buying some anal beads. I do like the idea of each bead increasing in size as one becomes accustomed to it. 😊
Well I tried out my anal toy today (with plenty of anal lube of course) and I am pleased to report that it was a complete success. It was definitely different all right! I found it fun especially when simultaneously using a vibrator. I’m really glad that I just went for it. 😀
Glad it went well it we got that as a first toy too ( well h had that & the probe), I had the beaded one. I love the love honey glass butt plug but I found it a bit of a big jump from the little one to the big. Although the Tracy cox 2 glass dildo set the clear glass one is a nice size when you do want to upgrade / go bigger.
