Anal toys?

Hey everyone. I need some advice. So I recently (maybe 2 months ago) had anal sex for the first time with my partner and I can now take it with no pain at all. I actually really enjoy it so I feel like it might be worth investing in a toy but I just don't know where to begin. My biggest question is if you think it would be worth getting a beginner's toy? I mean, obviously I'm used to and enjoy the sensation and can comfortably take a relatively big size so would it be a waste of money to get a smaller beginner's toy? Or do you still think I should start small and progress? Is it more difficult with toys than the real thing? I'm so overwhelmed with options!

Stuff thats tagged as 'beginner' is often far far too pesimistic in my view. Even as a beginner I expect that with lube, patience and some warm up most people could take the medium plug LH makes, the small just seems so small its worthless for instance.

Yeah I wouldn't take any notice at all about beginners ones! Go for small and slim and build from there :)

Thanks. You've both been really helpful!

Anytime :)

Actually, not all of the plugs in the "Beginner's" section on LH are tiny - the LH Bedtime 10 Function Vibrating plug has 4 inches circumference, the Tracy Cox has "only" 3.75 " but feels bigger due to the lack of a "neck" and the Crystal Small Glass Plug has 4.25 inches.

It's probably the best to just ignore Lovehoney's classification and go for what you like the look of.

Hi Bex, I have been using anal toys for about six months. We haven't tried anal sex yet, hope to try it soon.

I just recently discovered glass butt plugs, and they are amazing.

My first one was this:http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=31111
This is quite small, but it is so good.

These two are bigger, if you think that one is too small.

Definitely give them a try, much better than silicone, and more hygienic.

Would start with this one http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30703

as its about the same size as a male, don't think you'll have any issues, then move up to a bigger one?

its always good to have a slim toy to hand and doesnt hve to be that expensive.

you may decide inthe future to give anal play a break for a while (for any reason) so then you have a slim toy to help you get back into it after.

If you're gong to wear it for sex then any of the above mentioned are fine. If you want to wear it out and about or during the day then go for something which is a more rounded shape with a thinner neck. The tapered ones dont stay put very well if you're walking about etc. The rounded ones can be a little more difficult to insert but teach yourself to relax and you'll be fine.

Im have this one and its gorgeous. A lovely weight and stays where it should.

And remember....lots of lube if using it during sex...but only a small amount if wearing it during the day etc...then it wont make an unscheduled appearance xx

This is all super helpful! I think I'm definitely going to go for a glass plug. Could you also recommend a slim plug?

This one or its smaller brother, not for its size but for their shape

they will stay put better than other slimline plugs that will fall out at the wrong moment?
