Each to their own I think. My partner keeps a landing strip:
- because she still wants some hair look like a grown woman
- she feels cleaner
- she finds it easier to maintain than any other shape
- she knows I prefer her labia bare to lick
As far as maintenance goes she used to wax but suffered from ingrown hairs so now shaves every couple of days and it’s just part of her normal shower routine.
She’s a gym freak so gets to see a lot of other women’s public styles and the topic has come up with friends. Most of her friends do some sort of bush maintenance, a couple wax on a regularly and some just trim.
One of her friends is completely natural and she was shocked to see this when they went for a spa day together. Apparently she’s never felt the need to trim and her partner likes it that way.

I’m fully shaved and wax for special occasions (i.e. weddings, holidays). I used to wax when I was single and on the dating scene. Hubby loves going down there so I keep it clean for him just in case he has the urge.

I was a teen in the 70s and that is exactly why I love close trimmed or prefer bald . Back then oral sex meant you may have an episode where you were like a cat coughing up a hair ball . Being hair free down under is a bit of work , but worth it to me .

I grew up in the 90’s when bush trimming and removal seems like it really started to become more popular and mainstream. I had a particularly large hairy bush when it grew and I remember my mum mentioning at some point that I may want to trim it for wearing swimsuit. 
I think it was a few years later and probably when I started to wear a thong that I started shaving and keeping a landing strip, and I did this for a while before I shaved it all off. I shaved it all for years into my 20’s before waxing for ages and then finally getting laser hair removal so it is completely smooth now, which I personally prefer.

I have been pretty good at keeping the underbrush trimmed or removed from my playground . Extra stress lately has had me slacking a bit . Same with us. We stop hair removal in October and let it grow wild. Pubic hair and armpits are left natural until spring. I do shave my legs though. Well a lady has to look good in stockings. Going hairy gives us something to run our fingers through as it grows. My husband loves to cum on my bush which I don’t mind as I shower afterwards. I agree that lower levels of sunlight does have an effect on our sex drive but we make up for it in summer.

In the 90"s there were a select few at the nudy beach that shaved part or all of their bodies. They were the purists wanting to be as naked as possible. But it wasn’t until 2010’s that I decided to try it myself and have to admit sun, sand, wind, and water does feel better on totally bare skin. Even every day clothes felt slinky after a body shave. Porn jumped in the early 2000’s. Shaved pussy started as a fetish category but soon took off because it showed more juicy bits. As @fl99travel states it is now main stream and a natural bush is actually the fetish video these days. Male porn actors are now also on board with many, if not most shaven or at least trimmed really short. These days I keep genitals, pits, and face clean shaven. We’ve just had a discussion about this and how it fits in with our progress towards role reversal.
We decided that I will continue to shave my whole body smooth to promote a more feminine appearance and she will stop shaving completely (armpits, pubic hair etc.) to promote a more masculine appearance (I know a lot of men shave their body hair now but you know what I mean).

I have had had both natural and completely hairless partners. As I love giving oral I would prefer less hair but I would never say no!

I tend to just clipper all around my balls and pubic hair with a number 1 or 2 on the clippers to keep it neat and tidy.
to be honest my preference on a lady has always been trimmed into a pretty triangle of pubes or strip for the bikini line, as I’m not a fan of the completely bald look or full on amazonian jungle.

I keep mine tidy, I rarely remove everything. However Im not a particularly hairy person.
My partner there is no inbetween. He’ll grow it out for months then get the urge to shave the lot off.
