I always try to use condoms with my OH as much as I can even though i'm on the mini pill because I might be allergic to his cum but my problem is...
He quite often breaks through them!! I mostly use durex or pasante or mates (because most other brands of condoms, i'm allergic to the lubricants used on them). So obviously being a well known brand they are good quality.
My question : Is it possible that he's being too 'rough' during sex or is the condom too small for him?? or are there any other reasons for why they could be breaking...
Even using extra safe he has on occasion managed to break through them and he doesn't necesarily complain they are uncomfortable so thats why I never thought of them possibly being too small but obviously being a guy he prefers to go natural xx
We never had trouble with them breaking when we used them, and I thought we were quite energetic, so might be the size issue as you say. Worth trying the larger size to see. Have fun finding out! :)
Yeah go for a larger size that you will not find on the high-street but... loads available here! I like My Size, they come in different sizes for slightly larger men and are really comfortable, but quite expensive.
Much more available at a cheaper price, like the Passante range, just remember not all condoms that uses the word 'large' are that different from normal ones - so the review section here is very usable.
A condom that fits should not break however rough the sex is x
If there's a lubricant that you can use without it causing an allergic reaction why don't you try that; maybe that would reduce friction and help to prevent breakages
We know how to put them on properly and there is no problem with friction because I get rather wet (sorry for details) and no they aren't past there experation date, I bought them quite recently and they just stay under my bed in my box full of goodies :P
They do occasionally roll back up when we try to put them on so I guess they could be too small but he's never complained of them being too tight :/
Condoms can break for numerous reasons: are they past their expiration date or have they been stored somewhere hot?
I would say check the expiration date too. My OH and I hardly ever use them any more so when we do we always double check!
In terms of being allergic to his semen, have you had a test? Worth investigating further and being referred to an Obs and Gyn specialist. It could be that you're allergic to condoms and are having a delayed reaction to them or have a cervical inflammation or prolonged thrush infection- all of which are perfectly common and can pass in time on their own or need the help of antibiotics. I thought I was allergic to latex for ages until testing revealed it was the pill giving me symptoms reflecting an allergy! So worth going back to your GP.
I never though of the pill being a cause of the problem, it's seems to be the cause of other things as well like my low libido, I might have to go to the GP to find out. I don't think it's the condoms I'm using that i'm allergic to, I am allergic to some, but not durex and I have no issues after or during sex when we use durex condoms xx Thanks for the condom link, I was wonderin which would be the best to try out xx
