Dancing on Ice

I have a confession! I have decided that after slating reality programmes and then watching Saturday Morning on ITV I will be watching the new series of Dancing on Ice.

Now I'm not sure if the reasons why I will be watching it are right. Basically, it's full of celebrity has beens and the fact that they are ice skating using extremely sharp items on their feet, and the fact that it could result in serious injury or even death means it's worth a watch

It is MY ultimate reality TV show, the chance that we could watch something drastic happen adds to the thrill!! Surely that can't be wrong!?!

Any suggestions as to who we should send in there for the next series will be greatly appreciated.

I have a new thought re X Factor or the other one where they press the three buttons. If you get voted out, then a member of the audience is sat there with a shot gun, that way these people will no longer be able to embarrass themselves or the human race!!

Or have an incinerator in the shape of flamethrowers pointing down at the stage from the ceiling. One buzz: flames reach one-third of the way down. Two buzzes: two-thirds of the way down. Third buzz... I'll leave that to you.

Complete and utter respect to Ginger Ninja Minge. I love that idea and I am in the process of writing to Simon Cowell with that suggestion. Full credit to you however will be given and I seriously hope that he takes up the idea, imagine the fact that there would be no more fuckwits in the world returning for another year with their "I was abused by my kitten when I was little and this is my escape" story.

Well done for such a good idea, lets keep them coming!!!

i enjoy dancing on ice lol

Rach this isn't just aimed at Dancing on Ice, we could look at any reality tv programme to be honest!!!!

**hides away** i love most of the reality shows

oops sorry Rach no offence meant, probably my experiences with my ex wife reaching the surface lol x

I like DOI i'm not sure i'm going to enjoy this series i carn't stand louie spence!

I would love to see Russel Grant on Dancing on Ice. I just loved watching him on Strictly Come Dancing more for the comedy value than anything else. He was so funny. I would imagine he wouldnt last one week on Dancing on Ice! hehe

Abused by a kitten? Man, I get that all the time!

Cheers for that comment, Kev!

any time GNM, someone after my own heart, you poor bugger

I am a little concerned as I have been thinking up more and more extreme ways of these people leaving reality shows. I think I officially have a warped mind

I don't like celebrity shows as such however ....

Dancing on Ice is my only exception. The reason for this - I'm a skater.

In my teenage years I competed and won many medals and trophies.

My children (aged 3 and 6) both skate. In fact, my 3 year old has better technique than my 6yr old.

My 3 year old skates as part of his sports therapy.

My 6 year old, for fun and socialising.

A relative of mine still skates professionally, in the winter he teaches on one of trump's outdoor rinks in NY, and in the summer he does shows on cruise ships and whatnot.

Skating is a big thing in our family - we all love it and have skill.

I find myself being over critical on DoI though - I complain about lines and positioning and the fact that it's rare for the celebrities to actually skate (on their own) but their balance and technique is based on their partner.

I'm always hopeful that they'll find someone who can actually skate - on their own.

bloody hell HellsBells, that's ace. I tried skating when I was a kid and enjoyed it but got freaked out by my aunty saying if you don't pull your fingers in they may get cut off!

I'd love to get my little one involved in something like that, she is currently fancying gymnastics, i love watching that sport on tv

Lol, you probably have Kev... but a wonderfully warped mind.

HellsBells, you just reminded me that I actually had my first one hour session of ice skating. I think it's so cool that you can ice skate and I wish I could be good at it. So far, I've only learned how to actually skate without relying on the walls for support. I say that because I only fell once (and not an over dramatic one - a controlled fall, if you get my drift), so trying not to fall over doesn't really count. At the end, I did a lot better than my brother who actually researched on how to ice skate, whereas I didn't and didn't get any help for it. I'd just so love to go again but I'm a mere university student, so... maybe not. Food comes first.

tonight DOI and got to dance clash so i'm recording both and flick between them got to dance is my favourite so i'll be watching that mainly. my husband is gladly dissapearing upstairs later so he dosent have to "watch that shit" in his words.
