Family life vs Sex life

How do you manage to have a full sex life when you've got kids at home?

was easy when they were little but now they're teens/young adults

no spontaneous sex

It's always in bed at bedtime and always very quiet

Wait til they're at college, school, work? I'm not sure but it's difficult from the point of view of them too if they're young adults/teens. I live with 5 others masterbation is difficult enough I can't even try sex at mine lol if they're not out at school, college work or whatever maybe book s night away to really let go? I'm actually starting to contemplate on just booking a cheap hotel for a night on my own so I can take as long as I like, be as messy and as loud as I like too (within reason but at home I have to gulp back any noises for fear of being caught) like honestly my family aren't bad at knocking or anything but the footsteps and voices, tv on loud, music on loud, brother blaring his guitar etc it's quite off putting. The other day I was having some fun and my dad walked in thankfully I just said I was getting dressed before he looked around the door but it's not something you need a member of family walking in on you. Good job I was have my duvet over me for that exact reason. It does get frustrating I can sympathise with you truly. I tried porn a few days back and I was so paranoid someone would hear I had it on mute and I was so worried someone would walk in I put my set of drawers in front of my door and put tissue in the keyhole just in case.

Definitely see about them all going to stay at a mates or going to stay at a hotel or something just to really let loose

Well if he went to a friends house there was the opportunity then! Babysitters and having a nice night out, booking a hotel for the night. If he went away with family on school hols then we had the house to ourselves. But frankly I just didn't want to shag much at all back in the day as I was loaded up on meds! x

Take a trip!! Date nights/weekend :-)

We get up to things when they're at school, otherwise it's a case of being very quiet and wary of the squeaky bed (the joys of parenting lol)

Have the same problems here 3 teens here too just have to take the opportunity when it arises x

No chance when the kids are at school, DH leaves at 05.45 and not home till 18.00

might have to look at booking travelodge (how romantic 😂)

Get a bolt lock for your bedroom door ! For a small cost it will just give you that piece of mind .

Travelodges are great nowadays, the beds are ultra comfy and you can get away for £35 a night. It's as Romantic as you make it but the rooms are a blank canvas to make of it what you like.

We do a night away every couple of months and I am constantly looking for deals on Bookings.com/Groupon/Travelodge etc. It's always somewhere less than an hour away but I live in South East of London so have plenty of options.

Sometimes it's a case of letting the kids go on a sleepover at a friends too or giving them some money to go clothes shopping for a few hours ha ha.

We tend to go for the travelodge or inn-with-rooms option when we can. Often if a member of the family offers to baby-sit, we combine it with a meal. We just check in, have fun and have something to eat and are back before midnight. No-one's ever said anything and if they did it'd just be a question of "oh yeah, there were no tables so we had a drink in the bar before we ate."

Can be a bit awkward doing a runner from the hotel, but we've paid so not doing anything wrong!

We have a bolt on the door and my other half has days off in the week so we have school time too x

For me the bolt on the door was a no brainer as the last thing you want the kids to see is their mummy tied to the bed !![](upload://ez5kOkpKXRZOxjavAURYmQxVTau.gif)

Yeah I dont think that's something any child wants to see OR what any parent needs to have walked in on lol only problem with door bolt is you still can't moan as loud as you like. I need a bolt but dont like being locked in (joys of claustrophobia) so i have to move my small drawers and put them against the door... i really shouldve done that the other night came so close to being caught.

We've got two kids, one is a young teen, the other is now a young adult with her own partner, who started stopping over a few months ago, and now never seems to go home.

So we been trying to have quiet vanilla sex, however the eldest and partner pointed out they could hear everything we were doing, so I pointed out 1, we are married, 2, its our house, and 3, we are only doing what they are probably doing themselves. If only they knew what we really want to get up to.

As for our kinkier sessions, we've only had five in the last twelve months, one we hired a dungeon, two were in hotel rooms, and out of the two we managed at home, one was because the eldest went out on the youngest club night so we had an hour, and the other was when the youngest was away on a school trip, so on the last night, we gave the eldest and partner £30, and told them to p**s off out, and not to come home till late.

Comtemplating another visit to a hotel or dungeon, but can't keep doing that as will get expensive.

What mey help is is you have a tv in bedroom just turn the volume up a bit. We found it does help to hide some the the noises but apart from when we do role playing we tend to be perhaps the quieter type when it comes to sex.

Book a day off work? Tell them your having "ladies night " ? Can't you also book hotels for just a couple hours ? X

as their social lives improve, your nights in will improve also...

I agree .We are now beginning to get our freedom back as our son is 15 and has a gf in tow.

My partner and I have had to do it in the downstairs bathroom a few times. It's the only door with a lock on it. My son did ask why there were candles in there and I had to say I was trying to get rid of a bad smell hahaha

Luckily mine are little still, but I dread the day when they're older as we have nobody who would have them overnight etc.

Luckily when we move our new house has our bedroom on the top floor and their bedrooms are on the floor below. So there's no reason they'd be anywhere near our bedroom. So as long as not banging about too much there shouldn't be too much of an issue.

At the moment we take our toy suitcase hahah downstairs so the children don't hear us as we have baby in our room still, so can't do anything in our room.
