Yes it is a thing, the membrane between your rectum and vagina is pretty thin, anal stimulation for women is still G-spot stimulation though obviously somewhat more indirec, but not necessarily less intense or pleasurable. My partner is highly sensitive and easily over stimulated directly, she comes pretty hard from anal, though she doesnt like to admit it lol.
