You might like a plug that is a little wider in the end that goes in, then tapers down. This could solve the problem of it slipping out. These look promising:

I have this and I have the same problems with it, you need a plug that tapers out then in again in order to keep it in.

I think position has a lot to do with it, in certain ones I can feel myself trying to push it out a bit. I think you'd also find something bigger might stay in better as well because your muscles will be tighter around it.
