help with condoms

so next week i am going to be coming off the pill for a bit so me and my oh are going to have to use condoms which neither of us are keen on at all.

i would like to try some that are a bit nicer to make it a little less horrible!! haha

he worries alot about condoms breaking, i can really notice a difference in the feel when we are having sex with condoms than without so would like something that feels as natural as possible. and also, want something doesn't have too much of a smell.

anyone got any recommendations for us? i don't want anything too expensive either!

Durex featherlight work for us very basic but strong and thin which still makes it feel good.

i'd say go for something that's spermicidally lubricated, if either of you are worried about breakage then that's the first thing you wanna put your mind at ease about - worrying about that can (and will) completely kill the mood more than anything else!!

a well fitting condom is an easily ignored condom!! whether he's on the slightly bigger/smaller/wider/slimmer side... have a browse through the huuuge range on LH; they have the measurements of the condom's length, circumference at base, tip, etc... which can be really useful. if it fits well, you're less likely to notice it as much.

durex avanti are pretty good - or real feel: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=18907

(non-latex condoms tend to smell better...or just less!)

this is all from limited experience though - i'm sure someone else will have more/better advice for you ^___^

thanks niftyb that's so helpful the durex real feel look pretty good

lots to think about already!

p.s. if you find a brand of condom that you think would be really suitable for you both, but it's non-spermicide lubricated, i think you can buy spermicidal lube on it's own...

oooh that would be good- do you know where? i searched it on the website and nothing appeared?

this kinda thing is sort of what i was thinking of... this one's not a lube, per-say .. i think the idea is that you'd dab a bit onto the tip of the condom...? or the base...? not sure... o_O

...anyone??

70's pop/ska bands are not an acceptable form of contraception.

i like durex love, theyre really thin and feel great from my perspective. you can also get a 4 pack with Oh!points so thats a good way to "try before you buy" http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=18220

mates skins are apparently the thinnest condoms on the market. I tried the "extra large ones" ( only the once unfortunatley) but they were still decent. Here's their ultra thin ones http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=18295

and I got on well with Trojan thintensity when i used them http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16577

Are you saying you'd fuck someone who was a fanboy of such a band?External Media

I actually meant Durex Love!

I've been wanting to try a different condom for a while now, and the one I keep getting recommended is Durex Love.

I'm just waiting for my current supply to run out before I buy some more, this last half dozen seem to be taking ages.

Here's a link to a question on condoms I posted a while back, maybe some other answers for you in there:
