Same as my OH. He left home at 16-17 and he became a city boy. He lived in Edinburgh then felt he needed a change so he moved to London where he really got messed up. I never got into drugs particlarly - I tried them once or twice but they did nothing for me (wierd I know!) but alcohol was my downfall. I got up to over a litre of scotch a day + wine + beer at lunch. Obviously I got very ill in the end and then met my OH. I occasionally miss the oppportunity to sleep around (one of the reasons for my affair if I'm honest. I missed the feel of kissing (not fucking oddly) a new person)
But my wife is a remarkable woman and knowing all this is still with me - thank god. And for that I'm so grateful. Life is better now than it's been for years - and that comes through honesty - not least sexual honesty and openness to new things. My past is past - over and done.
The future is bright. The past is a dark place I REALLY don't want t go back to.

no, it is classed as illegal, and its nothing to do with the principle of consent, its about "public interest". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R_v_Brown still held today. its not often enforced, but the thought is it is still assault. stupid i know, but im currently doing some more research for a blog im gonna do on theese laws.

The law is no longer even that liberal on sexual images. You can commit an offence by taking part in consentual S/M. An image only has to 'portray' a 'realistic' account of an offence.

battery is classed as any touch that is non consentual, or not in the scope of everyday activities. and sometimes even if it is consentual touch it is classed as battery if it is not in the public interest, as was the case in R v Brown
In the past 11 years I've had 3: my ex fiance who I spent 7 years with, an old school friend I had a very brief 'fuck buddy' thing with, and then I met my current OH/fiance who I have been with for nearly 2 years. However, before that I had 40+ partners (PIV) in my late teens and a couple of women, mostly one night stands either from their choice or mine. There were also more than that where there was some sexual contact (touching, oral) but not intercourse so I didn't count them as such. However, it all feels like a lifetime ago and as I got older I realised that - for me at least - it's definitely about quality not quantity. In fact there was no real quality to speak of in my teens! It got better from 20 onwards really and has continued to get better in my 30s with my current partner. Bring on my 40s
