So I went back to my ex's mums house today to try and get some of my possessions back and she thought it would be a great idea to attack me. A 49 year old woman thought it would be a great idea to attack a 19 year old. I literally knocked on the door, to be greeted by a very loud "WHAT? WHAT THE F*CK DO YOU WANT?" to which I replied very calmy "i want my stuff back" and apparently, that meant i deserved to have my eye clawed at. she didnt just slap me, no, she clawed at my left eye with her stupid fake nails. I have a massive cut on the bridge of my nose and going through my eyebrow, and another cut on my hand where she grabbed me so i couldn't defend myself/escape. i called the police, waited nearby her house for them to arrive (which took 45 minutes even though i told them im only 19, shes 49, and i did nothing to provoke this), only to be spoken to like crap by the police woman who didnt take me seriously at all, despite the blood dripping down my nose and eye. she didn't even bother to go and talk to the woman. she took me to the police station for a statement, and when she was asking me questions and i was responding with things like "i dont know, i dont know what exactly happened it was all so fast and im in shock" this lovely police ladys response was "well thats not good enough is it". no sympathy for me at all. she also said the most trouble this woman will get in is a sturn talking to. so, i didn't get any of my stuff, but i did get attacked :) i'm so f"ing angry knowing that this psycho won't get any consequences for what shes done. im so disgusted and shocked and i feel so belittled and violated. oh, and according to my mother, this is my fault for going and asking for my stuff back. i'm apparently to blame for this and she does not care at all. im just..so done. with life. with people. i dont know what i did wrong to this woman to deserve her attempt at blinding me or something. i don't know why the police aren't taking it seriously. i just dont know what i did to deserve such a shitty year.
Woah! fuck! you've done nothing wrong here!!! NOTHING!!! so don't let scum like that tell you differently. Secondly you need to reort the police officer that dealt with this, get her number and name and report the cow! A totally disgraceful way of treating an abuse victim.
Do you need to get yourself to A& E for a check up darling? Are you badly cut or anything like that?

I would suggest you go back to the police station in the morning and not only get your staement done again because you will be able to think a little clearer by then, and report the officer who treated you so appallingly this evening kitten.

@Ozz, i can't handle dealing with the police again. i'll just leave it and wait for all this to pass, obviously the woman who attacked me isnt going to get into trouble or the police would've taken it seriously. i just dont understand why they didnt take it seriously, taking into consideration my age and the cuts on my face. the cuts aren't bad enough to need medical attention, but they're bad enough to see that ive clearly been assaulted. the evidence is on my face, so i cant comprehend why i wasnt taken seriously. i dont understand why the police woman wasnt more sympathetic about the fact i couldnt make out whatd happened. all i really knew was that id suddenly had my eye clawed at and that i was bleeding. but apparently that wasnt a good enough answer for that police woman. i just cant deal with this crap so i'll let it go, they were already treating me like i was the criminal, i dont want to add fuel to the fire by asking to re-do my statement or reporting the police womans actions. and then i got home to my own mother acting like i was in the wrong. i dont understand how im in the wrong for going to her house and asking for my stuff back..i just want it to be over with. i want this whole crappy year to be over with. thank you for concern i really appreciate it, i don't get much concern or sympathy in "real life". goodnight :) x

I'm so so sorry to hear that this has happened. There's absolutely no need for this woman to do that to you, from your previous posts you never did anything wrong at all to her, even if you did, there's no need for the violence and aggression this woman has shown towards you. I agree with everyone else you need to report this police officer and get a senior officer to go over your statement. Call the station today If you can. 45 minutes on an assault is a ridiculous time to wait, she probably had a bad shift or she's just incapable of compassion but either way you deserve to be taken seriously.

They have a duty of care to us as citizens.
They may also be able to assist you in retrieving your belongings.

That's ridiculous. I'm not entirely shocked at the woman's reaction based on what you've told us before, but the police should have taken you seriously!
My advice would be to go back to the police with an adult so they don't have any excuse to not take you seriously because you are a teenager. Have them say that they are with you because you were not taken seriously last time and that this needs to be looked at properly. You have social anxiety, do you not? It's understandable in that case that you'd need someone to speak up for you. It doesn't matter if all the woman is going to get is a stern talking to; she still needs to get it. Likewise, the police officer who dealt with you needs one as well for making a victim feel worse, they bang on about all these unreported instances of assault and domestic abuse and whatnot and they wonder why when their officers treat people like they're not important?
You could also say to them that you were there to get back your stuff that she is refusing to give you back, which is equatable to theft, and that you would like them to go back with you so that she does not attack you again. I had a friend do this a few months back so don't let them tell you they can't or it would be wasting their time. They are there to protect and to serve, and the simple fact is a woman has stolen your property and has now attacked you when you tried to get it back. You'd likely need to tell them exactly what items are yours (like a laptop or whatever) as they're not going to just take you there and let you take whatever, but they can go back and remove anything that you can prove is yours. It would put an end to this whole thing.
I thought he had burned or binned all your other belongings though? Is it really worth your time to worry about whatever is still in the house when this is the kind of person you are dealing with?
Thank you for the support everyone :( i'm waiting to be contacted about the decision the police have made regarding the incident. I did say to the police that I was there to get my stuff back, and that I can prove its my stuff that I paid for my showing them on my amazon account, but they said it's not theft as i "left it in her house". i just still can't believe this pshyco woman. im not even angry about it im just shocked and appalled at this woman and at the police that are dealing with it. how on earth can a 49 year old woman think its acceptable to do this to a teenager? she obviously isn't right in the head and needs to be sectioned. @lovebirds i was told by one of his friends that some of my stuff was still there. so i went just to check, i wasn't expecting to be attacked. i just cant deal with this crap anymore i really cant :(
still not heard anything back from the police. *sigh*
