Short thing - I love lingerie, however the first piece I ever bought made me look huge. I guess I am curvy for my height, but this little number was ridiculously unflattering and although my boyfriend LOVED it, it was hard feeling sexy when I felt like a whale.
I have one piece of lingerie I actually like and it's a little purple halterneck one. I don't particuarlly feel sexy but I do feel more feminine.
Just wondered if anyone out there had advice on how to find lingerie that actually makes you feel good as well as looking good???
To put it in perspective, I'm 5"2, about 9 and a half stone and 34C.....with little body confidence.
Sounds like you're very similar proportions to me, Pippy, so I would definitely say you're not a whale! However, I've also struggled with the same kind of thoughts and lack of confidence in the past. What part of your body is it that seems to particularly bother you? Hard to know what sort of lingerie to suggest without knowing that :)
I know it looks like something that would show all the flaws you think you have, but I actually found a bodystocking great for making me feel more sleek and slim, and in a way everything is covered but isn't at the same time.
What sort of bodyshape are you Pippy? It would be a huge help knowing so I could offer you accurate advice. If you're pear or hourglass shaped maybe you could try a babydoll - something like this http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=29375
Also, I know you said you're not overly confident with your body but I would highly recommend a bodystocking. They're extremely flattering and so comfortable, and the lace ones hide any lumps or bumps you may not like. I have this one and love it http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=27327
my OH is 5.2 36C and similar weught and she always looks great in body stockings or micro dresses. she also gets seporate belts for stockings not baby dolls as she feels they look better... may be an idea?
I can't really offer much advice as I am still struggling - I have no confidence and feel flat chested at a 34c.. I hope the people on here can help...
