Lovehoney experience

Hi everyone. I just had the worst experience by far.

It’s a long story so I’ll try to keep it short.

-I spend over a grand on a sex doll.
-It’s the wrong one.
-Contact live chat, get told to send them an email.
-Send an email, wait hours for each reply.
-Arrange for the wrong item to be collected, they sent DPD to the billing address instead of the delivery address.

I work nights having to wait for parcels is hard enough, waiting for them to be collected is hard enough. I’m tired and this isn’t getting any better, only worse.

There are cheaper dolls out there but I chose Lovehoney as I thought I would get better service. Now I think I made a big mistake. I feel that Lovehoney have really destroyed my trust and confidence in their service.

Good day @KyeDav I can only apologise for your experience and hope you get it fixed. I have used the customer support a few times in the past and had no problems, I suggest making another contact with them with the above included, and state clearly in the email it needs to be sent to the delivery address and not the billing address.

I can vouch for the LH products, they are absolutely fantastic quality.
Again, I apologise you’ve gone through that and I wish you the best of luck getting it sorted.

I have contacted them and they have arranged another delivery. I have bought products from Lovehoney before which is why I chose to order from them and haven’t had any problems but those were smaller. Given the size and cost of this order I thought a bit more thought would go into it.

I’ve never noticed myself, but maybe if an order is over a certain value, maybe they could provide a certain customer service member to help if any issues arise or to ensure things go smoothly before delivery. @Lovehoney_Brenna is this a thing, or possibly a suggestion for the future?

@jbfrater Having a special team member would mean there would be limited hours they are available (eg Mon-Fri 9-5) and if something happened when they weren’t there to resolve it people could end up waiting longer for support.

@Lovehoney_Brenna I mean, if a job role came out that was 8am-8pm for that, I’d be more than happy to do that. I’ve done similar before anyway. I’m not too sure what the team size is over there, but even a dedicated team member around the standard 9-5 would still be advantageous. Just an idea.

Hi everyone. Quick update.

I have received an email and the order has been reviewed so hopefully this doesn’t happen again and have also been given a date so I know when I can roughly expect to receive the correct item. I just hope that all else goes well.

In defence of the Lovehoney team: My dumb*ss postman left my Lovehoney delivery on my post lockdown doorstep when I was not in. Unsurprisingly it had gone by the time I came home. I contacted Lovehoney, expecting a bit of a battle and perhaps a referral to the Post Office but they were brilliant and immediately redelivered to an alternate address. I’d been having a bad day all around so this and the general friendliness and concern of the person on the other end of the phone really cheered me up.
That’s not to say that your bad experience isn’t important @KyeDav and I am pleased it is looking to be resolved. It might be worth bearing in mind that Lovehoney will deliver to a local Post Office if that is a more available option for you .

That is ideal for me as that means I can pick it up at a convenient time. But, in this case the box is about a metre and a half long and I only have a small Citroen C2. I might do that in future though for smaller orders.

Before I persuaded Mrs S to use Lovehoney on the grounds a specialist supplier would take more care to protect their reputation, she’d already ordered some lingerie off Amazon Marketplace. This finally arrived yesterday having been ordered 14 August. What they hadn’t made clear in their listing was that on receipt of order they would would be sending it surface mail from China. Which in this case was no great hardship however I should point out that international mail like this has to have a customs declaration on the outside describing the contents. This package was small enough to go in our letterbox and the description was merely “women underwear” - but if that had been a sex doll, vibrator, anal hook, electric cattle prod etc. it may well have appeared as such on the label and if you’re not in who knows which neighbour it might get left with. :scream: Just sayin’.

I once ordered a dildo from China that stated it had “discreet” packaging. It was probably due to the plastic packing not being transparent or something because anyone and their dog could quite literally feel it in there as a dick in a bag :joy:
