I love to use nipple clamps I think they feel amazing... But the pain I expierence when I take them off is often so huge that it concerns my husband and I must admit myself a little...
My husband thinks that nipple clamps can cause damage to the nipple. I was just wondering if anyone knows if he is right or nor?

I think they can cause problems if they are worn for too long and are too strong, as they cut down the blood flow in the nipples I believe. But as after some experience cannot personally take strong clamps I dont think I will run into it. Would not wear them anyway.
The pain is I believe caused by the sudden blood flow, but not sure.
It's probably that you left them too long, as have been suggested already. The clamps just sort of crush the nipples and if you take them off too quickly, you will feel pain. I've used pegs as clamps because I was curious what it feels like. Taking them off, it does hurt.
As for them damaging the nipples, I really don't think they would unless you wear them for HOURS - by which point you'll most likely be in a bit of a bloody mess. I'm not sure though, to be honest. Common sense tells me that as time goes by, the clamps gradually inches closer together, crushing the nipples further until it rips through, but that would take a LONG time.
Perhaps you need something less strong. Are you new to it, because if you are, going for something strong it a bit of a no no. You'll have to build up to it. But as I said, it won't cause any damage whatsoever. It's just that you'll feel the painsince you're probably not used to it. If I'm wrong in saying that you're new to it, just kick me and I'll take my words back. 
You know, I've been thinking about getting nipple clamps for myself. I don't know why. I just felt the need last night when I was using my fleshlight... 
Bummer if it does cause long term damage. I guess it can cause nerve damage as the pain/pleasure stimulus is rather intense...

The pain is the blood going back into your nips. You shouldn't keep clamps on for much longer than 15 mins at this tightness (you can either loosen them or change their position to avoid any damage).
If you're at all concerned, visit your GP.

I actually like the pain that is caused by removing the nipple clamps. I think the longest the pain has ever stayed as been about 1 day, but it ached more than hurt I would say. I like pain a lot so it doesn't bother. I'm more just concerned about long term damage.

Oh not really if you wear them for a session. I dont think thats the case, but if you wear them for long hours and tight. then maybe it could be possible. For masturbation and then taking them off... you will be fine. I have clit clamp I use sometimes, never noticed any damage, but I dont wear it too tight and never for hours.
Hi kathy normal nipple pain should last minutes while the blood flow returns to the nipple, the aching sometimes lasts for me upto 24 hours, but I do enjoy that but you should never feel anymore than a achey feeling for more than a few days.
I would suggest not leaving them on too long next time and see if you feel the same achey pain after.
I adore nipple play and own almost every type of clamp available, Im the worst as I do tend to leave mine on often all day as I love the pain of them (depending which type of course) each type causes a different feeling, so if your feeling in anyway uncomfortable stop till the ache goes.
Firstly can i ask; are you applying the clamp to end of the nipple or behind the nipple, as sometimes to keep clamps on its best to go behind the nipple (especially if you have pierced nips); but causes alot more pain and you have to be careful doing this, you can bruise yourself badly here?

But my all time favorite nipple toy has to be this nipple kit with 4 different size rings, they such and increase the size of your nipple, increasing your sensitivity and then you can add the small ring (of your size, no smaller please), then you can wear these out.
My nips feel incredible after being sucked with this, a must try!!!Its safe too as if you suffer with achey nips you can just use the little pump leave off the ring as you still get the same feeling and sensitivity; the rings are a bonus.
