Our Song(s) What are yours ?

As I am in the mood for love and romance this weekend, whilst out last night we were discussing our favourite songs and tunes as a couple which are special to us

Here are our 4 songs

1) Run to you - Bryan Adams

2) Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams

3) A guy called Gerald - Voodoo Ray (We are both ravers)

4) A whiter Shade of pale - Procal Harlem ( Our first smooch on the dancefloor)

You know that awful song, "watch me nae nae, watch me whip" song? We sing that to eachother and replace the "watch me ----- oo watch me watch me" and then sing the rest. It sounds awful but it always makes us laugh.

We don't really have a song, we don't have a romance lovey dovey one as it isn't really us

People that know me will not believe me but our song is Blink 182, I miss you.

I just called to say I love you Stevie wonder was in the charts when we met

Beyonce- Halo as this was our first dance song when we got married or a whole new world from Aladdin.

I would have honestly never guessed this about you!

Interesting! I never heard it before, but I also liked the videoclip a lot!

Our first song we dance to was "Aria" by Acker Bilk (never heard of him I hear you say) in 1976

I'm a great Queen fan, but I like a wide range of music.

Some of my favourites are:-

Total eclipse of the Heart, Bonnie Tyler

Nothing compares 2 you, Sinead O'Connor

I know him so well, Elaine Page & Barbara Dickson

When I fall in Love, Nat King Cole

My OH would have anything by Bryan Adams. In fact, just give her Bryan Adams.

Yep, Whiter Shade of Pale does it for me or In My Life by the Beatles. Also Handbags and Gladrags by Stereophonics ( originally by Long John Baldry I think ).

A song about murder may seem an odd choice, but our song is Where The Wild Roses Grow by Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue. I can only dream of being as cool as Nick but I reckon Mrs TJ has an arse to rival Kylie's.

Even tho not one of our songs it is a favourite song of my Kylie and nick cave where the wild roses grow. So can't fault you there troubled joe.

The 2012 version that Kylie re-did with nick cave is also a very good version.

There quite a lot you don't know about me ! Lol

Music wise I like Northern Soul as well and used to strut my stuff on the dancefloor .It's not too well known outside the UK and originated at Wigan Casino hence the Northern" bit in the name. Can't do some of the moves anymore especially the ones where you drop backwards onto the floor onto your hands and swing straight up again. It the getting back up again bit I can't do.!

Wifey is a great lover of Bryan Adams and your two Bryan Adams favourites are on the "So Far So Good" album which has the (Everything I do) I do for You (Robin Hood) track on it. which we have in our coection. Great album all the way through..

I really don't get the whole "our song" stuff, surely it just makes it awkward if you ever break up every time you hear it.

Yes troubled joe it's in the abbey road sessions album.

This is so odd but me and the OH met, I would hum the Pirates of The Caribbean theme song, and after a while he said if I did it again he'd kiss me!

SO as you could imagine, well into our walk I hummed again and he span me round by the hand he was holding to face him and the rest is history! So a bit of cheese there!

Yes you are right .The Cars song Drive was a tune special to me and my previous partner. Whilst obviously happily married to my current partner and wife it does still make me a little sad when I here it.

Our wedding song was starships- nothings gonna stop us. We don't really have any other songs that relate to us romantically.

Nowt wrong with that it's a terrific song .

We fell in love when Simply Red released 'Fairground'. It always brings back good memories for us. ![](upload://4WyQT1gwKaQJNwhYxrKZ1rOPglF.gif)
