As you may know, I had Filshie clips applied last week as a form of sterilisation. I still have my implant in (because it seems impossible to get a doctor’s appointment) and will probably keep it in for my next period.
I have no idea what my natural periods are like because I have been on hormonal contraception since I was 15.
Did anyone notice their periods getting worse after sterilisation? What was your period like before v after sterilisation?
No definite answer but a good base in my opinion would be,what were your periods like before contraception? Did you not have periods until the age of 15?
I was on the contraceptive pill for around 20 years and my period was absolutely horrendous way before contraception and it’s a horrendous now.
I had the implant but unfortunately made me 20 times worse.

I’m thinking they were not great because that was why I chose to go on contraception. Even though I’d only had a few as I didn’t start until i was about 15.
