We visited our first swinger club over 10 years ago; she was really pleased to see the women there were normal people rather than ones with porn star type bodies, and to see that the women were not being forced to do anything they didn't want.
Don't worry about being larger than average; may men love more shapely ladies! Some clubs even have BBW nights.
Regarding dressing up, It really depends on where you go. Our fave club, Chameleons, insists on everyone changing into towels or lingerie as soon as they arrive. That's much more relaxed than allowing people to wear clothes. R has several sexy outfits to wear in the bar, but we are usually nude upstairs.
Give it a try and enjoy - we love swinger clubbing! They provide a 'special space' where you can disregard all the everyday rules about sexual restraint and let yourselves go without guilt.
I love the idea of swinging clubs but I wouldn't want my OH to do anything other than watch. Is this allowed? Definitely going to check out the fab site :)

It is totally up to you what you do, no one will ever force you do to anything you dont want to do.
Myself and husband have been swingers for 2 years and weve been to many clubs north and south. Infact the first time we went was with the intention of just watching and we ended up joining another couple, even today we still go just to watch.
FAB as much as it is amazing comes with a hazzard warning as there are a lot of time wasters and fakes but the club section is really good just be careful. I'd also recomend http://www.sexinthecities.co.uk/ the book really helped us and we know the people who wrote it, so the reviews are honest and genuine.
What Swingcouple says is spot on too, we avoid "towel clubs" as we (mainly me ;D) like to dress up but lots of other clubs allow you to dress in what you feel most comfortable in (but think wine bar - ie no jeans or trainers for guys). Usually ill go little black dress with sexy underwear underneath or a corset.
Whatever or wherever you choose will have an information page and dont be afraid to email them for some help :).

I went to a swingers club a couple of times with my ex. We were mainly interested in swinging with a single bi female, but they turned out to be the rarest of creatures! Instead, we met a couple on fab, who were also keen to try a club for the first time and went together.
it was an experience, but an enjoyable one. There were people there from all walks of life, all different shapes and sizes and all friendly. There seemed to be an air if acceptance for who you are as you were in lie minded company.
i would say go for it, but you must bbeing the same page as your partner before you dive in. Enjoy! And remember, no always means no. Don't do anything you don't want to do.

This is why i say be careful about Fab, weve come across so many "im real, im genuine" women which of course theyre not.
Single bi-sexual females are the the unicorns and are like gold dust in the swinging world, you have atleast a 20 - 1 chance of finding one in a club.
Its unfortuantly (and no disrespect to single guys) inundated with single men more than anything x

I'm on fab and I have to say I'm impressed. There are reviews on there for clubs, i want to go to one now!!
Thanks to all the comments I now can't wait to go away on a dirty weekend and include a swingers club in our 'activities'! And we'll be getting onto the research ready for him getting home next year

Erk difficult one, not really any around Weston super mare. For a bit of traveling theres the Lodge in Gloucester which ive heared good things about but thats about it.. x
