Actually did something similar to this in the steel mill i worked in…a skip full of scrap fell from a crane after a chain broke. Nobody was hurt, but while someone fetched the health and safety officer, one of the guys stuffed a pair of overall trousers with rag and stuck them under a pile of scrap next to the skip with a pair of boots. Let’s just say the FHSO nearly fainted and didn’t see the funny side!

Conditions were pretty perfect. I actually saw two and a half , the last one just a fleeting glance as my eyes scoured the skies, but the two I did see fully…
WOW!
I literally shouted WOW! and pointed at them like a loon, even though there was nobody with me . Unlike the big shower earlier in the year where they were probs less than a second, these were maybe three to four seconds, ‘shooting’ across what seemed like half the sky at warp speed.

Yeah, they pretty magical. Watching the big showers under clear dark skies is just breath taking.
