Toy recommendation for first time?

i want a toy to help with masturbation but also to pop the cherry so that it wont be awkward for my future b/f. i want to get a realistic dildo because it seems cooler and i like how it has veins..but i also want it to be a vibrator. but i cant find any for beginners with both features. should i just forget about realistic? does it really serve much for masturbation?

I've noticed myself most toys aren't made for beginners. The toys described as "slim girth" are still 4 inch or more, which isn't slim at all, it's average size for a real penis. Being a virgin myself i have tried a few types of toy over the last 2 years (had never masturbated before and similarly wanted to reassure myself of a few things including that sexual encounters would be less awkward) and with the jelly/silicone toys i honestly have never been able to feel the ridge detail, just discomfort, but then i do have to use a condom to even be able to insert them as the material, even with lube, is too "grippy". Maybe i'm odd, i don't know, but i hate textured toys as they just feel painful to me, so i stick with smooth glass toys, though sadly those don't vibrate.

What kind of girth is it you're looking for? http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=17072 is a realistic design and size in terms of girth and length to a real penis, but i know it would be too big for myself.

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=29496 is the slimest vibrator on the site that is realistic with veins, but it isn't really representative of a realistic girth.

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=309 isn't veined but is a more realistic girth and still tapered.

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=7417 is a mixture of more realistic detailing and girth, but is only 5.5 inches long, but would possibly be a good starting dildo.

All are described as anal vibrators but there's no reason you cannot use them as a vaginal vibrator.
