Ive been interested in wearing buttplugs for long periods of time outside of the house, I have tried 3 plugs, something similar to this metal plug https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=6336, this glass one https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25809 and lovehoneys booty buddy (https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=33371) the first two i liked because of their size and rigidity, but found that the bases really irritated my anus, meaning i couldnt keep them in for more than a few minutes, while the booty buddy was more comfortable, i found that it was too small and soft for me to really feel anything. i wouldnt say im an expert with anal play, but ive got a few toys and am relatively experienced, can anyone give me suggestions of what i can do, or different plugs to try? Or is this something that will eventually stop if i keep trying?
I'd suggest a plug with a different style base. I find t-bar's to be the most comfortable for longer use.
As the Booty Buddy was too small, I'd look at a medium range plug like this one by Doc Johnson https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=21229 and see how that goes.
Would agree with the T-bar thing - makes long-term wear much better. The problem really comes down to the lack of sensible gradation in size (manufacurers please note volume goes as cube of linear dimensions) so plugs tend to come in 3 sizes - Way too small, Too small and WTF!
I've tried this out and about, and really enjoy it. The ring adds to the sensation, and it feels really secure, which is a must for use in public.

I have a couple of silicone plugs which have a free roaming little ball inside them. They add to the sensation when wearing them out and about. I can link on my tablet but Lovehoney does sell some xx
I like wearing a plug (sometimes with additional extras for length and girth) around the house for several hours at a time, especially if I have sit down tasks to do!
I have tried quite a few different plugs for longer term wear. I have not found any sold by Lovehoney that really fit the bill.
I find two issues with this, first is the base, as noted a t-bar is more comfortable however I find they get uncomfortable after a short time as well because as your sphincters sort of normalise they kind of try to pull the plug in a bit deeper which can pull that t-bar into your anus, not comfortable when that happens, though maybe a problem only for girth fanatics like me.
Second issue is the length. I find that most traditionally shaped plugs are not very comfortable when sitting or even walking and moving around for a while. Basically anything pointy or too long isnt going to feel very good. I think a plug needs to have a bit of weight to it, or what is the point?
The best plug I have found for long term wear is made by Oxballs but unfortunately LH doesnt carry them!
From a quick look, these are the only ones that really look any good but less than perfect.
