what to wear?

im wondering, what does everyone wear when swimming? i wear baggy beach shorts although vi is always trying to get me to wear speedos lol and she wears a bikini but really wants a proper swimming costume. what do you guys and girls wear?

also for violets sake, any nice shops online to get good looking swimwear?

Why don't you try what she likes? I think she would be happy ;)

hey D try litlewoods direct online they have some cracking swimsuits for women in there

ps they also ahave money off the first orders too

hmmmm I'm not a fan of speedos on a man. Its a big to gay porn star for me (and horrendeous on someone hairy) Debenhams do some nice swimwear in larger cup sizes. If I had a body like Vi's I would be wearing the most revealing thing going! lol

I love the Freya stuff, and Calvin kline.

depends, if i am just mucking about then shorts, but if i am going to be swimming for a length of time then i wear skin tight shorts, or a wetsuit (depends on the water temperature) Never speedos though

I used to wear bikinis, but have recently become tummy conscious and taken to swimsuits.

Asos.com is normally my favourite, but I actually found some really nice, quality, cheap ones on the Asda website. What works, works, I guess!

Personally I just find speedos funny, but if she likes it, why not give it a go? ;D

I guess I am the only who likes speedos. I find boxers ridiculous on most men and the baggy beach shorts - although they became popular in the last few years, it looks to me as if you haven't taken your clothes off to go into water. So I find them funny. But probably I am one of the few who thinks so.

I really dont like the look of speedos on guys actually! For me it reminds me of the grandfathers id see swimming on holiday, so id be a little disappointed if i saw my OH in them.....

But then again hes a lifeguard when hes not at uni and a good swimmer where im a very bad swimmer, so I dont particularly want to go swimming with him as il look rather silly!

Oh just like to add, the only people who look good in speedos are swimmers (as in people who compete) because they are usaly waxed and extreamly toned. Anyone else just looks erm, not to great in them

well, I don't think that either boxers or shorts change that - if the person is not in a good shape it could be seen, even if dressed in a suit!

I've always wondered if I could get away with wearing a bikini, probably not tbh.

I would like to point out that additions has the same stock as littlewoods, well a little different, but there prices tend to be cheaper. though addition charges postage where as littlewoods doesn't. there is a littlewoods clearance store on ebay as well. I've purchased swimwear from both before (from there value/ cheapish range) and as they have cup sizes for some they all fit well.

I really like the what katie did swimming suits but they cost so much :(

I wear shorts but not the skin tight ones as my package isn't that big without the added shrinkage aspect :p Hope to go to a naturist swim soon to see what it's like to swim in the buff ;)

Tankini is always good VE. More flattering than some swimsuits but perhaps more 'serious' than a bikini if you're looking to tone up? x

Shorts. Speedos look quite awful.

It all depends on where I am swimming, in the local pool when I go to swim not just lounge around I wear a swimsuit, I bought a decent one as I swim 3 times a week and cheap ones dont last to long if you go alot, when I go on holiday and have no intention of actually swimming I wear a tankini, never worn a bikini just dont feel comfy showing that much skin.

tbh though people wear alsorts to go swimming in, you see alot of people in tankinis and bikinis, but I would never wear that for my local pool I just wouldnt feel comfy. I good swimsuit is the way to go if you swim alot.

my oh wears swim shorts

I did look around for swimwear before and most of the beautiful styles are really expensive.

I think the retro halterneck ones are the best looking.

I'd suggest also looking in sports shops. As well as professional and "plain" sporty swimwear they do have some nice styles. Depends though.

Best thing to do is have an idea of what you want and search on ebay for a good deal.

This seller has some good value plain-ish swimwear: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/simplyswimwear/m.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A4341&rt=nc&_ipg=200&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14.l1514

As for guys I think shorts look the best.

For Gals , You should defo try getting a proper sports swim costume, esp if its for serious swimming, the more stream line ur body is in the water the better u glid through! So sports shops r great or ur actual swimming pool normally carry a range of great swimming costumes and there nearly always black (win, win???)

For guys its harder, u can have swim shorts that r a cross between baggy beach shorts and a tighter short or go full tight speedos (not the most attractive swim wear unless ur a life guard on bondi beach!) I suggest having a look in sports shops as there is always a massive selection!

Hope this helps guys x

i wear a speedo copstume..great fit and feels secure while swimming.
