Cum after vasectomy?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I've heard good and bad things from friends that got it done. My wife is suggesting I might want to think about getting the snip and I'm sure I can get over discomfort but I'm most wondering if the amount or volume of cum changes at all? Also some of those freinds are convinced their drive went down a little but everything I've read says this is psychological and not true. Any info please?

Mr S has had the snip, in terms of volume I would say there has been no noticeable change and his drive has not been altered, in fact having the snip has helped with spontaneity! The only change I can really say there has been to his cum is in the taste, I like it more now!

My Husband said that it is no different post vasectomy. We cant get the test for "all clear" due to the virus. Annoying

There is no real difference. Best thing my husband did. Now we don’t need to worry

I can't say I noticed any real difference before / after my vasectomy, but that was about 15 years ago now.

In terms of sex drive, nope, no decline there either, infact, I'm probably hornier now than I ever have been.

The upside is once clear, no need to worry about contraception for either of you. My wife said she noticed an increase in sensation and desire when she stopped taking the contraceptive pill.

As said by everyone else, there is no noticable change, provided you are not using them for brains.

I'm so happy to have seen this post!

My partner has put the suggestion forwards a couple of times but I've always said I didn't like the idea, assuming it would have an effect on his cum (thinking he would no longer produce any) and lower his sex drive.

Putting this option back on the table =D

Had it about 3 month ago, no change, intact probably have more sex now due to not having to worry, and I remember the period where sex was off the cards so often think it's best to utilise the moment!

I had mine done some 38 years ago now. There was no pain, a little discomfort for a day or so and peace of mind for decades.

Rather impetuously we had sex the day following the op and apart from a definite 'twang' feeling in one of my testicles there was no ill effects.

The volume of fluid ejaculated has not changed so far as we can tell.

Had mine 34 years ago and had no change in volume etc. Just make sure you have it done by a specialist . Have heard horror stories from men who had it done by a general practitioner . Where they became fertile because the doctor did not remove enough . Also infections or discomfort . Main thing is to listen to the doctor and take it easy for the first week ! No horseback riding or riding motocross .

I had a vasectomy over 2 years ago. I was literally in and out in less than an hour. Sat on peas the next day playing video games, and was right back to work. i just made sur to limit how much weight I lifted. It was the best decision my wife and I made in regards to our sexual health. She was no longer taking any form of birth control and we saved money on condoms.

As far as sex drive and volume goes, there have been no changes on my end. If anything, my drive has increased as there is no longer a concern about accidental pregnancies. With that inhibition out of the way, it opens up a lot of opportunity to be spontaneous. I highly recommend it to anyone that is thinking about getting the snip. Plus, some insurances cover it 100%

Hubby had his done over 30 yrs ago. Local anecetic little discomfort. Absolutely no loss of volume. No loss of drive in any way shape or form. Highly recommend it. Good luck. Xxx.

Had mine done in January of this year, yeah the procedue is a little uncomfortable but after a few days it was fine.

Certainly hasn't had an effect on sex drive or volume from what I noticed.

I finally got my testing kit this week to send off for the all clear. Fingers crossed it is, as I can't wait to get rid of the condoms :D

Had mine done 35 years ago (privately , not N..H.S.because of my age) still cumming plenty, not run out yet, and never had a partner that could tell any difference

Had mine done 30yrs ago caus the wife thought it would be a good idea to have another kid without discussing it with me, took her 3 months to catch on. I decided to get it done because i didnt want to be be put in that posision again. my feelings for her have never been the same. And i love my daughter very much Sorry if this is abit off topic re volume i would say yes there is a small reduction in volume and the consistency is different

That is interesting. We were supposed to take in a sample a month ago but the clinic was closed. A postal test would be great - desperate to stop using condoms

They must have improved the testing in order to be able to mail the sample in . Back when I had the testing done a month later , they wanted it "fresh off the tap" .

Had mine a good few years ago now and both my Oh and myself both agree that there was a very noticeable difference in the amount and the thickness of my cum. Now just "tatty water" thin and watery. But no decline In sex drive I am glad to say.

Long term benefits far outwiegh the short term discomfort.

Volume etc. No change as clearly stated above.

In terms of drive I feel much more relaxed knowing I can't create anything so therefore everything has become far more enjoyable and spontaneous.

As Nike say....Just do it!
