Leaves finally appearing on the mulberry tree I planted last November. It budded just before Easter then with all the frost and cold weather I thought it might have died so it’s a happy day.

All the busy and excited birdies hunting for worms and bugs and splashing in the puddles after the rain.
Swifts nesting under my eves
I pulled back the curtains this morning to see a swift hurtling towards me at speed, then pull up, deposit nest building material and off again, all in one fluid motion. These are my favourite birds, so fast and agile, flying so high so, although I’ll no doubt be woken by hungry chicks at four in the morning over the summer, it is still a privilege.
@PleasureDrone: I love it too when they come screeching so low in the evening
We’ve had blue tits and robins nesting on our balcony, and we have a window feeder, so we can see them feeding too. A genuine pleasure to see.
@SteelA1 I’m in the same boat, watched it/ been interested in it, but thought there would only be a select few… Glad to know I can talk about it with like minded folks…
Must say I have been looking on the ol interwebs at #fantsy dildos abit these past few days and added a couple to wish lists, just need to see if the OH @Steffi.O is onboard to try…
Feel greedy getting anything just for my own pleasure…
Cake. Cake always cheers me up.
@AshhhDTD you know I’m down to try anything atleast once!

I love nature too @AmyA ![]()
Last night after work I sat on my sofa, in total silence, with a cup of tea, some snacks, a snoring cat by my side and dimmed lighting. I lit a candle and relaxed and it felt so lovely. Living alone is expensive has turned out to be very refreshing.
Going for a walk down the harbour on a beautiful sunny day, watching the sea and incredibly beautiful views is so therapeutic ![]()

My sister has booked us a table for lunch on Friday at the harvester for us 2, our mum and cousin. Really looking forward to it ![]()
My favourites too! Many years ago I was stood alone on an open railway platform at a country station. I could hear swifts screaming overhead. Looked up but couldn’t quite pinpoint them. Then something shot past me at head height, right in front of my face - a swift! It made the same pass again and again, back and forth: I could feel the wind on my face each time as it passed. Eventually I saw what it was doing: flying in a huge figure of eight and using me as its pivot-point for the middle of each pass. It was enthralling!
Thank you, I certainly did it’s been a lovely day, ended up going down twice, not like Walsall where I live now, so beautiful, peaceful, tranquil and I feel so blessed to be here![]()
When my beans and tomatoes got blitzed by the frost, I tried some courgettes from seed. They look pretty similar to your squash right now and it has definitely cheered me up
Same family, courgettes are a type of summer squash. Somewhere in the picture there are yellow and green courgettes.
Also pumpkins, summer squash of several varieties (i like crook necks, theyr really tasty), and a couple of winter squash. Also butternuts, which ive never grown before ![]()
