Just sorting out goals

hi everyone

was wondering how you would get a chance to build a room or similar.

one reason for asking is that the father has or is building the half sisters room at their place and its nearly complete and have not had much of a chance to do it or help.

don’t own a place to be able to do what you want to it and could be 60-65 by time it happens if there is hope because of circumstances and money and prices.

what could you do to have the same chance that the father had to build room or similar without owning your own place (at least while in planning stages or until you are financially ready to take a big loan on).

is there a way to get the money to buy something or at least the deposit and enough to pay the loan each month without working 7 days a week and working so hard you’re worn out and are unable to do anything.

times like this is when you wonder how your boss got the money to buy her apartment in city as well as keep her house too and you wonder how you could do similar or buy something of your own without working 24 hours a day and/or 7 days a week and work so hard youre nearly dead like she does.

How do you recon the owner of the business that am working at afforded apartment outright (no idea if primary house is paid off or not) and is there a way to be in same position without working so much you don’t have a life.

How would you get to be in your bosses position and be able to buy something outright or at least have a deposit.

certainly can understand why so many people have left hospitality and retail since 2020 with pay being one of them.

some of are on fixed incomes and due to a condition are permantly stuck on them but may be able to earn a little bit here and there and do so many hours, how do you earn more without affecting it (there may not be a good way but doesnt cost to ask).

how do you find a place to store and work on things because just preparing that grandparents may not be around in 2 years and thats only place besides home at moment.

the grandmother probably wont be around in 12 months, though it will be nice if she is and really want her to be around, just preparing.

how do most people know and what do they experience to know when its time to move out and what could they do to try and hang on until they can afford to buy and be able to actually do what they want to place.

you’re just at that stage in your life where you want your space and you’re trying to hang on until you can buy even if its somewhere to stay and have a shed to start with.

sister also will probably have own place in 12 months all going to plan because she is seeing someone and hes in planning stages for buying and she will be moving in with him, no idea if shes helping with paying for place or whats going on.

not in any hurry to move out permantly just yet but just want somewhere to stay and to work on things and build things.

where can you put a tiny house or c/van in australia as yard where am living isnt big enough and there isnt anywhere else plus by time you buy a block a large tiny home and the block could cost same as buying a block and getting a budget transportable or similar sent to site.

am not yet in a position to leave the kitchen job because am doing training and am in planning stages for next thing but that could take a while, however have started planning now as it will take a while and it makes sense to plan now while plenty of time as have decided that will not be working in a kitchen within 2 years or when business sells whichever is first.

if new owner wants to keep old staff guessing you can thank new owner for thinking of you but you decided its time to move on and guessing you can run soon as the old owner leaves or in a couple years.

how do you have a better workshop and be able to setup workshops and spaces when you dont have your own place or be able to do it for a service to people.

just wanting a better workshop and space and trying to hang on until am able to buy own place, thats if theres even some hope and dont want to rent and not be able to do what you want to place.

if the grandmother goes the grandfather will likely have to go into a home and if the grandfather goes before the grandmother then she will have to move into something smaller.

whatever happens when one of the grandparents go (if they dont both go at same time) the other will probably have to move out of their house and when that happens then not going to have anywhere other than local mens shed and will then have to think of somewhere else and just trying to think of something cheap until having own place.

Wanting own space and trying to hang on until an able to buy and it might be years away if there’s even some hope and don’t want to rent and not be able to do what you want and maybe have to shift at anytime.

Is there a way to have your own equipment setup without your own place (at least until you can get own place and be able to buy).

at the local mens shed you can’t really touch the welding equipment at least without courses and training how you could have your own equipment setup without your own place (which you’re waiting until you can buy your own and not rent), what other options are there.

Is there basic welding courses people can do that’s enough for local mens shed to allow you to touch their equipment.

What easy welding courses are there.

Not in a position to pay for many if any courses at moment due to having to pay for courses to get your side thing and do as much as possible now to go towards it due to moving on when place sells possibly sooner depending on how long it takes.

the local mens shed it’s a community place where men get together and do things.

for the welding equipment at mens shed would it be worth emailing training providers and asking if there’s basic courses that are just enough to scrape through for the local mens shed to allow you to touch the welding equipment as guessing you need training.

If you did cam work or made youtube or tiktok videos for money and you go to apply for home loan and family noticed there was a lot of money suddenly what would you say without saying how you got it and where it came from as may not feel comfortable telling them especially the cam work.

am happy where am living and would be just thinking of somewhere to stay and a workshop to start with.

how would you find a girl when you work in a industry where you feel like you cant plan ahead what you’re doing and when you work every weekend and every holiday which is when theyre usually out doing stuff, want to be able to do the usual things you do with girls.

how do you know when its time to move on from the kitchen job and onto other things and what could you do to try and hang on for a little longer or until it sells whichever is first.

guessing you again can just thank new owner for thinking of you but you decided after 14-15 years its time to move on to other things and run as soon as its handed over fully and not stay any length of time after its handed over if they want to keep old staff.

just want to get out the food industry as had enough after 14 years in it and decided that wont be doing it in 2 years or when place sells whichever is first so have started training now while theres still plenty time.

would you let old owner know you don’t think youll stay on after sale, they do know that am thinking of giving something a go after sale or just new owner you wont be staying for any length time unless its been 2 years.

what would be reasons for so many workers left after only returning for a few days from shutdown, can think of a few reasons but wondered what other reasons would be.

just getting head around things in preparation.

I would strongly suggest having a thorough read through and maybe following some of the advice in the following threads:

When is it time to move out and how do you hang on until you can buy own place

Tow larger trailers

Doing building work

Finding a girl to experiment and do the girlfriend things with

And Questions for Doing a bit of webcam work

Good luck to you, nothing is going to change unless you act to change things.

Lots to unpackage here, need to decide what you want to do and set your term and longer term goals to check progress against.

You have received quite a bit of good advice in your previous threads, maybe it’s time to take things in hand and put some of it into practice? Even if you can only make some small changes at least it’s a start. :slightly_smiling_face:

Why do i feel a sense of deja vu?

Hi have made plans but just accept that nothing will happen overnight

Have decided that won’t be doing hospitality in about 2 years or when business sells whichever is first and working to own timeline and not waiting around at this stage

Just trying to work out what to do for now until things change for that and rest of it

Plus also forgot to add that it’s times like this that you wonder where your boss got the money for her apartment that you go stay at as well as keep the local house that you live in.

You also wonder how you can be as well off as her with that without having to work 7 days a week and work so hard you’re worn out

This was added to your post already.
